pics Anyone have pics of peppers growing in SWC?

dont think it's a good idea. peppers don't like water that much.
The peppers only drink what they want when they want it. The trick to having peppers in a SWC is the media. You need a media that allows for wicking but will not hold too much moisture. I am gonna try 3:2:1 recipe of potting mix:pinebark fines:perlite. Everything usually explodes in growth with a SWC.

I agree with this. I used a standard potting soil from a local nursery for the Jalapeno I posted previously. I've noticed in the last week that the leaves are starting to show signs of yellowing. I'm thinking the soil has compacted a lot over the growing season, and is now holding too much water.

The trouble is finding the pine bark fines...
 
I use wicking tech for almost all my plants to give constant source of water.
