BEER!

Was considering picking up the Sierra Nevada stout myself. I love the rest of their brews afterall. Does it live up to expectations?

I had several yesterday:
2 bottles of Dogfish Head Punkin Ale, one of the best fall beers out there.
Followed that up with a bottle of Harpoon 100 barrel series Potts Landbier. Not a bad beer, but not great for the price. Just didn't feel like a special, limited release kind of beer.

Finally, a bottle of Harpoon Leviathan Triticus. A wheatwine, and an excellent one, could probably actually stand to sit in the bottle a few more months, to even out a bit, but it's already quite good.

Tonight, thanks to Tkromer's mention Dogfish Head's Punkin ale. Good pumpkin beer with notes primarily of cinnamon and nutmeg.

Also, a surprise from my fiance, New Holland's Ichabod. Another pumpkin beer that was fairly similar in taste to the Punkin' Ale but had a bit more taste of ginger and cinnamon.

Rather than 'Cheers!', I will say Yummy!

Morgantown Brewing Company has a whiskey barrel stout going on the taps today. I won't be able to make it until tomorrow sadly, but I'll have at least a few :)

tonight

Port Brewing Older Viscosity, which is their bourbon barrel aged Old Viscosity

last night, Southern Tier Heavy Weizen

Right now, Terrapin Big Beer Series Gamma Ray wheat wine

The Older Viscosity was the most expensive, at 141 dollars a case for 12 12.7oz corked and caged bottles

but holy hell is it worth it

their 30th aniversary imperial belgian stout was incredible

tonight

Lindemans Gouze Grand Cru, Peche Mortalle, Dogfish Head Chateau Jiahu, and the ever delicious bud light

shhhhh dont tell anyone

While I think DFH is my favorite craft brewery overall (with Stone a close second), and I love their pumpkin ale, Southern Tier and Weyerbacher make better ones IMO.

A repeat tonight, Bell's Expedition Stout.

You're definitely right Jay T, Southern Tier is probably the best pumpkin made. Weyerbacher has been hit or miss, last year I hated, it had an off taste, almost sour, but 2008 was fantastic.

I love Weyerbacher in general (wish it was sold in WV), but the few samples I've had of pumpkin are not indicative of the rest of their brews.
