Super Comatose Breakfast Skillet
 ​
Biscuit ingredients:
  • 3/4 cup sweet potato puree
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1.5 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 T sugar
  • 1 T baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 6 T cold butter cut into bits
Directions
 
  • Preheat oven to 425f
  • in small bowl whisk together sweet potato and 1/3 cup milk set aside
  • in a large bowl whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, cut in the butter with your hands
  • add the sweet potato and fold in gently
  • flour work surface and turn dough out and kneed lightly until mixture comes together
  • pat out into biscuits 1/2" thick and place on greased baking sheet.
  • bake 12-14 minutes. 

 
Gravy ingredients:
  • package ground pork sausage
  • 1 pad of butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1T flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
 
  • Brown sausage , do not drain
  • push sausage to side of pan
  • add pad of butter and 1t flour to empty spot on pan, melt and mix together to make a paste.
  • stir into sausage 
  • add milk and simmer until desire consistency. 
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Skillet:
  • Bacon
  • Sausage (stole from gravy)
  • smoked sausage
  • 1 bag frozen shredded potatoes
  • 1/2 Aji Amarillo
  • 1 shallot
  • 4T vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup mushrooms
  • 3 eggs
Directions:
 
  • Cook bacon and sausages set aside
  • drain majority bacon grease from pan and sautee shallot, aji amarillo and garlic until soft. Remove from heat and set aside
  • heat 4T vegetable oil in pan, add bag of shreaded potatoes and let cook 8 minutes. Flip.
  • Flip every couple minutes until golden brown. 
  • Add meat and veggies, fry several more minutes ​
  • Fry eggs over easy in bacon grease

 
My kids have dairy allergies so I removed my portion of food and added to a 10" iron skillet, added several slices of mozzarella cheese and shreaded cheddar. Placed in oven on broil to melt to gooey goodness
 

 
Served meal hot in skillet with can of Modus Hoperandi to wash it down
 

 

 
 
Grilled chicken legs and Blody Mary
 
This is the first meal of 2016, I hope to be a good year for all people...
 
Ingredients:
 
3 pounds of chicken legs
 
For marinates:
 
Butter
Lemon juice
Oregano
Paprika
salt
 
Other marinate:
 
Homemade Buffalo sauce (for me)
 
 
Salad:
 
grated carrot
boiled eggs
tomato
salt
wine vinegar
olive oil
 
Drink:
 
1 part of vodka in 3 Tabasco Bloody Mary on ice
 
 
Directions:
 
Pull skin of chicken pieces, washing and put to marinate for 2 hours on different adobos.
Cook on the grill for 45 minutes and served with salad.
