LOL- NOT so subtle difference:). I really wanted to do some baked ones also, but I'm serious when I say we were all starving and I barely got the pics of the final plate done before it was demolished. No one was going to wait around for some Baked ones!

Here's the teaser....

As an anglo in a Cuban community, I had to throw a homage to the community that has fed me so well over the years. I give you

FRYDADS CUBAN PIE-NESS

Just a teaser...

Frydad's Cuban Pie-Ness

Homemade pie crust...the only way to go.
Threw in some habs, some ham, a slab of mustard, some sliced pickles, and some mojo pork that I slow-cooked all day. Topped with swiss cheese.
Gave her a lid. Baked her up a bit.
This was so damn good and gooey. Just like any cuban sandwich I can get at any authentic corner diner in miami (legendary). But a pie version (thanks Mel).
Enjoy.

I have seen your pie-ness many a time, and this takes the cake. I mean, pie. Damn good job, FD!

These are looking great! Um, of course they have to be spicy, this is... the hot pepper!

SL I hate to poo poo your first entry but it's not a baked pie as the rules state. :(
