The Nelson is good, not rave-able but drinkable.
 
Crisp and quaffable for an IPA, a hint of funk, and a bitter apple cider aftertaste.

This would be great in the summer. The citrus overwhelms the hops but a totally quaffable brew. Like Squirt with hops. Wish I had some carbe asada to go with this.

I tend to like the multiple hop over single hop beers I find. There's cheffing involved in getting it right, and you're not just relying on one note. I don't know if this analogy fits, but with spices... it's like having a dish with one spice instead of jerk or curry or your own blend... and I think OH really has the "cheffing" down... ahhh never mind me....

Narrow Guage in STL. They've really blown up here lately. They have some great IPAs.

I do like the blends though too. Simcoe and Amarillo are one of my favorites. Citra can star by itself too. But I like Mosaic best with others.

It's in your beloved 5 beans so why would it be off-putting if you keep telling me to try it?

In Absentia Luci did 3 flavor variants. But asking why they put it, you could ask that about any ingredient someone didn't like.

Off putting to others here, but certainly not to me. There are other sweet spices that don't have the sharp floral spicy flavors that cardamom has.

Btw....you should try 5 beans. ; )

I'm slamming a couple of ice cold HB NEIPAs, while making enchiladas. I've decided to make another Aslin run on Thursday. Their beer is worth waiting for two hours for. Can limits were increased to 6 per beer, per person, and they are releasing two IPAs. Good thing I was able to switch my work schedule around to accommodate!
