beer Being Crafty

Usually first night of camping is campfire corn . Fresh cobs soaked then on side of campfire while setting up, either on grill or surrounding rocks. If you cut across the base and then basically squeeze out the cob from bottom of husk you don't even need to desilk. You might get a strand or two of clingers but pretty awesome no effort effect.

My ex was from Indiana and did that like a pro ...

I never tried, because I haven't had corn on the cob since.

Hold the Indiana ...

I'm full of questions today so here is another one for you guys: What's the most cost effective way to send beers in the mail? 4 beers in small box? 12 beers in a big box? My goal is to send the most for the least amount. For example I paid the same amount to send 4 beers to FB as I did to send 10 beers to TC . I'd rather send more beer for the same price if I can or send where it will be the least expensive. Know what I mean? I'm tipsy btw

When I do that, I peel the husk back, desilk, and then push the husk back over it. Also a good opp to rub with oil and spice... ;)

yep that was my old skool way of doing it for years .  I still do if I want to spice up before roasting.     I actualiy heard of the method on another forum a few years back

googled up a vid that demonstrates what I was trying to explain. You don't have to micro though, cooked on campfire it still does the same thing.

for long distance USPS flat rate box is the cheapest. When I send you some beer it's going to be the last time I ever ship beer with them.

UPS is better and cheaper for shorter distance. overall I would rather ship with them then usps any day

It cost me more to send ozzy one box then it did two boxes to 1010 and tgcm

cheers

I disagree with you here. Also depends on how much you are sending.

USPS Regional Rate A box is by far cheaper than UPS. You can fit 4 16oz cans.
If you are using Flat rate boxes then it is similar to UPS.

When I've needed freight/ground, I've found FedEx to be less costly than UPS ... and FedEx Home Delivery is pretty inexpensive, with the added beauty of Saturday delivery!

Not to add complexity, but it's worth a check too ...

Like tctenten, I try *VERY HARD* to be able to use Flat Rate boxes with USPS, if only because it's easy, and they offer free pick-up ...

On the shitty side of using USPS, they are the only one's with a postal inspector with actual legal authority, and also it would suck the worst by a mile, if they decided to fuck with your mail service ...

Although, you know, I don't think it would even matter for me anymore ... I'm primarily paperless.
