Down to my last 2 beers in the house. My last Cosmo with dinner and my DF120 that has been in my basement aging will be for later.
Like rum. Only better.grantmichaels said:Is that like #PeakHipster?
It's actually pretty good mixed with guava nectar, a bit of pisco, and juice from a lime to mellow the bite a bit.The Hot Pepper said:Hardly better, you have to add tons of sugar and crushed limes to remove the gasoline taste lol! No way near as smooth as rum, only good for caipirinhas.
I am getting bored with it........grantmichaels said:Are you quitting drinking it too?
Geez! I bet that is a malty SOB. I'm sure the BBA for 4 years probably helps smooth it out a bit. What is the ABV?Ashen said:Cameron's deviator doppelbock 2012 4 yrs in bourbon barrels
I use pitu as a base for homemade liqueurs. Not sure why but it works better than vodka. I originally did it just to try and get rid of a bottle because it is so nasty straight up.
It was good but I think it spent a little too long in the barrel . I found the oak tannin flavour was the main finish note. I can see people who like oaky wines loving this. 8.4 abv . These guys are doing barrel aged barley wines as well but I haven't tried any yet.Thegreenchilemonster said:Geez! I bet that is a malty SOB.
