This is the 3rd (final?) one in the "Cranky" series that I've seen. There's the "Lil' Cranky" (4.8%- blue can, they suck and taste flat), the "Cranky" (below, 6.8%- green can), and the "Big Cranky" (9.5% DIPA- orange can). Saw these for the first time at the store today so I grabbed a six pack

Not bad; MUCH better than the "Lil" ones, but not as good as the "Big" ones. Definitely a decent session IPA, but there's just something about the aftertaste...

My juice skyhopper DIPA DDH is done amd bottled. 100% mosaic hops. There was about 1 gallon of trub/hop trup after done brewing, due to the 10 ounces of dry hops. My wife said that my kitchen smells like beer candy, from bottling the beer. I agree. This one will be a banger for sure. It should be fully carbed in 7-10 days, based on my experience with this yeast. I can't wait!

Session stout, eh? Nice. Sounds good, TGCM!
Yeah man, with close to 30lbs of grain in one 5 gallon batch, there is bound to be a lot of residual fermentable sugars left in all of that grain. I remashed/sparged the spent grain, with 1 lb of flaked oats to a total of 8 gallons of extremely weak wort. I then did an almost 2 hour boil, to reduce it to 5 gallons, then pitched some washed wyeast 1084 to ferment it. This 5 gallon batch of beer cost me less than $10 to brew.
