beer Being Crafty

The day Other Half or Aslin cans sit on the shelf at Wegmans is the day I stop drinking NEIPAs. It will never happen.

I used that example as an ultimatum. There are a bunch of craft breweries in NOVA, and their beer is readily available sitting on the shelves, getting warm, stale, and skunked at Wegmans.

If Aslin ever gets to the point where they have to distribute their beer, just to sell it, and it sits on a shelf getting warm and skunked, then that means their beer has gotten to the point that it isn't good any more. Why would I want to drink it at that point, anyway?

I actually live closer to Aslin than I do to Wegmans

Dessert sour!

Well looks like I'm working tomorrow. No beers tonight. Might haveta wait till Monday even. Goona be a big job. Depending on whether everyone is outta there, I might be working this whole weekend. Here is cpl I have to look forward to.
PSB makes the best framboise I've ever had. Interested to see what the bottled version is like; only ever had it from a tap.
The space ghost will be a first for me. The only only other chili beer I bought was a green chili something or other. Tasted like spicy metallic beer. Was nasty. I even made a chili beer once, was a spectacular disaster. Didnt really use any common sense or restraint. So it was Just pure heat and rubbing alcohol with an IPA bitterness.

Well a RIS sounds pretty good. I was shooting for a strong belgin quad with peppers and a good heat. But I used a handful of reapers and scorpions @15min.(dumb) I woulda been fine with just one @ flame out. Ruined the whole beer. Was like 3 yrs ago. Might still have some stashed away in a case. I imagine it has not aged well.

They will stay but it will die down and the ones left will be the ones that got into the game with them while the bandwagon breweries move on.

the NEIPA fad  will play for a long time .    I think Radler's have peaked here, 3 -4 years ago there was maybe 2  available.   There had to be at least 10  last summer.

Gruits and Grissettes are popping up here and there , don't see them getting a whole lot of traction though.

I am suprised that people are still "chasing" the NEIPAs and waiting on lines. They are very enjoyable, but after having a bunch of them, not really worth the effort for me. They are great for breweries because they keep tweaking the recipes so they can market different beers. I am kind of agree with Pooks, except I think they will have a core four or five NEIPAs with different hops. I think right now it is still so new that the brewers are still experimenting.
As long as you have a local spot with good ones your set. With Narrow Gauge in STL I dont need to worry about trading for IPAs anymore.

Exactly. I'm sure you think I'm some Other Half superfan but it's all about location and I'm not into trading and lines or you'd see other stuff. Good beer close. You are set. They do have me drinking more though. Hard to cut back when so good.

Even got Folksbier for my sours.
