HB Belgian Dubbel. Man, this came out absolutely perfect!

I usually brew a few light Belgians in Spring, kettle Sours and IPAs in the Summer, strong Belgians in the Fall, and Stouts/Porters in the Winter. I've been posting HBs on here long enough to figure that part out, though

Head retention is perfect on thos brew too. I'm half way done with the brew, and there is still a nice head on it.

Ah. Yeh. I'd like it in a triple, nice clean good phenols. But for me it's too clean for a dubbel. I need that distinctly belgian bubblegummieness flavor and that soft murkyness from a yeast that just won't clear. wpl500 or ecy11 is my go-to for that.
Ur HBs do look nice and clear.

I carbed up this HB smoked porter in 4 flip top growlers, and bottles late last year. I went through all of the bottles months ago, and I was curious to see how the growler would handle ageing a beer relatively long term. Good results! Perfectly carbed, and great brew flavor well preserved.

I still have 3 more untouched growlers that I'll crack open for the world cup festivities coming up.

I agree with you there, man. The Veil's Never Never fruited sour series is amazing. That apricot Never Never is next level. I plan on driving down to Richmond, for their next Never Never release, whenever that is. The Veil does no distribution, so you have to wait in line on release day at the brewery for their A+ sour releases, because they sell out same day.

This is a mighty tasty DIPA. There is a good amount of creaminess in the mouthfeel, solid aroma from the DDH, and an excellent slightly bitter forward flavor that I really dig. Thanks Dane!
