beer Being Crafty

Honey Pie, Ocelot. I really like this one. It is a bier de miel, which is a saison, brewed with honey. The hops they used are an epic compliment to the belgian phenols/esters of the yeast.

So lucky that our local Greek place has great local craft on tap.

Wellington S.P.A

Awesome food here, the first restaurant I ever took my wife to when we started dating 20 yrs ago and still our favourite.

Honestly who else has ever seen a dozen mammoth Kalamatas in a side Horiatiki salad? You have to know when to order the kalamari though. When the kitchen is too busy you take your chances on the oil being too cold. Greasy squid =no bueno. Shrimp saganaki always a winner.

Popped this to have while making a huge pot of chili. And the chili drank almost a cup too

Still tight as a sailors monkey fist knot right now. Shoulda waited about ten more years on this one.

Has blackberry and brown sugar notes at the moment with a hint of high end brandy, likely due in part to its high alcohol content.

4.1 lbs on my bread scale and a hard shell. May sound crazy but I actually wanted to put her back, but my buddy pointed out shes just gonna crawl into someone else's trap and end up on some a$$hole from out of states dinner plate. So if any a$$hole is gonna eat her it's gonna be me  :D

Cheers

I once ordered a 6+ pounder at Ruth Chris steakhouse, It was so friggen big it was absolutely recockulous, I ate the claws and two friends split the tail.

Saw Willie Mays there that night too.

Barncat Ales,  Baby Simcoe.       Love the beer from these guys, but their hours are crazy.  only open 7 hrs  a week for growler fills.   They pretty much only do one-off small runs  of whatever takes their fancy, with some riffs on past favourites.

Johann Speaks Easy. Aslin. DIPA aged in bourbon barrels, with toasted coconut. Holy shit, I've never tasted a beer like this! What an epic beer this is. There was a one bottle limit per person, and only 300 bottles made. They sold out as soon as the line of 300 people ended, lol! I absolutely love this beer!!!! BBA NEIPA FTW!
