Burger put in the oven? Why, you seared it on high and it would have burned if you didn't move it? Get some CI my man. You can sear on low and you don't have to do that oven stuff.

Because it was so thick and I already had the oven on. And I do have cast iron but can't use it on this stovetop. We've been through this before...

Straight elk or seasoning in the meat? It is lean or juicy, and how did it turn out, medium, or?

no seasoning but a little salt n pepper. It is leaner than beef not as lean as deer. I cooked it to medium.

Elk burger inspired me. Just a teaser for now. bison short ribs(removed from bone),bison sirloin and some thick cut chipotle rubbed bacon my buddy makes after being in the freezer for about 25 minutes and getting ready to grind   burgers tonight
