I'm running the 1275 cc. MG Metro engine in the Mini. The original 850 cc. was bit down on power.

Here is the 1275. It's been slightly modified...

Cool Mini dude! I had a 1000cc model years ago and loved it . Fortunately the guy who owned it before me was tall and he'd extended the seat rails so the driver's seat could go all the way back to the rear seat. I used to love the confusion on people's face as they saw a 6'4" bloke unfolding his way out of a Mini. Mine had wider than standard wheels and flared arches too. I loved the way I could sling it around sharp corners at 70 mph, and it would stick like shit to a blanket. With a 1275 GT lump, twin carbs and straight through filters yours must go like a freakin' rocket!
 
Here's a pic of my everyday truck...matter of fact, the only one I have...wife's got a HHR and loves it but I don't drive it...I carry the my sound system for our band in the back

2500 HD GMC 6.0 liter gas engine, 4:10 rear end...yup, it is set up to tow...

People actually drive cars in Texas too AJ? I thought the pick-up was the only vehicle allowed on the roads there.:lol:
 
I don't like to admit it but yes...some people that don't know better drive cars...of course I like the 34 mpg the HHR gets as opposed to the 11.5 my truck gets and only 6-8 when towing depending on my speed...
 
thanks man, if I didn't have to have it, I probably would be driving an off road jeep...

The guy had the sterring wheel extended out of the rear window and he was sitting in the tray. It was a real beast...

I wished my truck got better gas mileage, but it is what it is. average is 8-9 MPG, if I have 30+ MPH winds at my back I can get 13+ MPG :lol::oops::(
