catchthebear 2020

A little slow out of the gate this year, but I had some time today to get some seeds dropped this afternoon.

Most everything here has come from trades this year, so a very big thank you to all that have swapped with me.  I also have at least another 100 or so varieties I plan to start very soon.  Will likely start those at work and not keep tabs on them as much until they're a bit larger, so those will probably show up in this Glog some point further down the line.

Here's what I got rolling today as well as some photos.  Thanks for scoping it out!

Yeah, I'm curious to see how they do.  Cheap enough!

I especially liked the way the roots grew
through the material. No need to remove
the bags upon plant-out.

Wish I remembered who used them last season.

A couple quick photos.  Getting things transplanted here and there after work every day, then transferred over to my flood shelves.  Two more shelves to fill up.

It's very likely I'll be moving before it's time to put them in the ground.  So... I guess we will just wait and see what happens here.

More hiding in here.

Also decided to just go with the square quart pots and trays that I have available.  I tried messing with the fabric containers, but they're a real hassle to work with.

Looking good CTB!  Find a spot for them in MI or you'll regret it come fall when the rest of us are rolling in the pods!

Thanks CD. :)  I will definitely be bummed if I don't find somewhere to put them.  I know I'll have room for some of them at least, though.

Looks good. I think you are using the same pots that I'm using. If you gotta move now is the time before they are giants.
Thanks Mr. Joe.  Square quart pots!  Yeah...maybe I should have held off this year.  Lol

I think mine are 42.25 sq inches. A little under a quart. 18 of them fit into a 1020 tray

I could only fit 10 of these guys in a 1020 tray (used those last year).  The 1020s took up just a little more space in the flood shelves than I liked, so I grabbed some trays from work that are made for these quart pots.
