Chilis galore but no new flowers

My plants are loaded down with peppers but no new flowers forming. I suspect it is due to the mid summer heat here in the south and the fact that the plants have so many peppers on them. When I pick these peppers is there something I should give my plants to get them to bloom again soon. Here are my scorpions and nagas ready to pick.

Yeah I am in the same boat, I think I need to move to a warmer climate!

PRF your plants look great, but maybe you can answer a ? for me. How long do you have to leave pods on the plant to get that many ripe ones at a time? Even when my plants are fully loaded, they only ripen 2 or 3 at a time. I have always wanted to get a plant that was completely ripe but I am always afraid of the older pods starting to dry out or rot.

gardenkiller this will be my second harvest, a week ago I harvested my first but not to many off these two plants. All of these peppers were green last week so I'm not to worried about over rippening. Just got home with a food dehydrator and will start drying some chilis. I also have a handful of extra woozies of my nagascorpion pineapple that I would like to trade or barter. Would like to get my sauce out there and of course I'd like to try other peoples pepper products in return. I've done seed trades, how about a sauce trade.

hello PRF,

nice looking plants! it would appear they are on full load. once you pick up the pods, the plant should restart flowering, blooming fertiliser will help then.

Thanks for the help. I have been using fish and seaweed ferts only but I will give them a sip of GH FloraNova Bloom when I harvest. What, nobody wants to try my sauce? I guess I need some testers that will promise to write a review for free sauce.

The board's been pretty quiet today and I think people would love to try your sauce, I would, but a few of us like me don't make our own (because I can't cook and will burn baked beans).

Here's my review: Beautiful color and just the right consistency.
It burned my eyes and nose when I took a sniff(learned my lesson), but the aroma has a flowery sweet chinense tone to it and a nice pinapple tropicality. Now the taste test: I spread a little on my sandwich's bread before I put on the meat and cheese. Wow the smell is wild; anyway I'm ready to taste... Reaction: "Oh yes!
OMG- this stuff is hot!"
Just kidding. I want to try a sample please.
;^)
