I have seen it.

Compared to what you're doing, I'm a small puppy and you're a Doberman. You've got massive growing going on. Fun to see, especially though pictures. You must have a ton of resources to dedicate that much land/space to peppers. Good luck with it. I'll continue to observe.

About 140 seeds up now 9 days post sowing.

It's going fast! I'm taking a different approach this year. I plan on leaving most of my plants in 36 cell plug trays until plant-out. It should work given my late season start. It's MUCH easier to grow in trays than individual pots. You sacrifice some size, but in my past experience, I have gotten nice yields from smaller plants put in the ground at the right time. If they greatly outgrow the plug, then they will be potted up. It saves time/money to keep size manageable. If I was doing this for a job, of course I'd pot-up to sell larger plants. We'll see how it works out.

I think you hit on an important point, Chris. The transplanting
timing is important. If a plant is in 'go mode', it will take off -
all things being equal. I think the trick is to transplant so the
growth trajectory is not impaired. You grow sounds great, can't
wait to feast my eyes on some phots of those babies!

Cooler temps might help slow down growth. I start mine upstairs and once they get to a certain size I move them to the basement where it is a bit cooler, they stay alive and don't grow too fast.
