I am going to try NOT to take pain meds during the day - that stuff actually makes my head hurt, and also a bit nauseated. Would rather deal with the ankle pain.
 
Thanks - hope so! Was able to get in to the ortho today; though the swelling is too bad to be sure just yet, the doc thinks nothing is torn or detached - excellent news if that's the case. Will get x-rays and such in a couple weeks, so will know for sure then. Also good is that they immediately took off the big honker cast, and I'm now in a blow-up boot. Cool. New toy! LOL
