Really good. It's honestly a lot like that toffee Porter I brewed.

I had some Aurora Hoppyalis last night.  A super crisp IPA.  It was not terrible at all.

That Green Flash is a pretty good DIPA for sure.  I cant wait for my 4 day weekend next weekend.  Gonna hit Russian River and get a couple growlers from them, then do some monster amounts of BBQ

I haven't liked a beer from a non-liquor barrel to date, myself, so I understand ...
 
The newest local brewery posted receiving 15x barrels a week or two ago, and I was like "yay" ...
 
Then they posted that they were primarily from wine country for sours, and I was like "fffuuuu' ...

Ya thats what I do like.  I think sour stouts, sour belgians and a few other styles work well with heavy red wine type barrels, Cabs, Merlots.  Russian River does a good job with this.

I did a Chocolate Vanilla Bourbon porter, that was aged in 5 gallon bourbon casks.  Mind alteringly good.

That's my kind of beer. Those and double and triple Ipa's primarily, and an occasional Wee Heavy or a bottle of Saison Dupont - or a Gulden Draak, for that matter - just to mix it up a little between the dark ales and Ipa's

Very. I haven't pulled the trigger on tweak yet. I've heard it's good. I can get Avery beers pretty easily here apparantly.
Glad I brought 2 for sure.

Let it warm up a bit too. Barrel is way more pronounced.
I'm sipping the last little bit because I don't want it to end.

I enjoy the change through the temp increase, on the dark beer especially ... not so much for the light-colored beers ..
