Had this tonight. Smelled really good. Pretty good overall but kind of a long bitter finish. I like the 11.25%.

There are a couple of exceptions of ones that are not TOO bad, but for the most part everything I have had sucked.

As for the Dogfish Head 61 I mentioned the other night, its ok. It is pretty much what I expected an average ipa with the taste of red wine. 60min is not my favorite to begin with. Maybe if they had used 90 I might like it better.
 
i had hopslam over st.patty's day; i'm not normally a fan of hoppy beers but that was something special. definitely worth trying even at $10 a bottle
 
Hopslam is freaking awesome. One of our local beer bars saved a keg from this season and will be tapping it this weekend. I plan on going in for a couple!
 
Damn it yes it is and I want one now.

Speaking of imp ipa's why the shit can't I find heady topper anywhere... I still have not had it, and I hear that one is a contender .

I am having one of these right now as well. Hoptimum is on its way back to the area in a few weeks. I love that stuff too but HopSlam deserves the 100% it gets!
 
Oh shoot. I have not once seen heady topper in FL. Wheebz, or anyone else here in swampland, you see heady topper here?

I'm craving IPA's... all I have is hombrewed shitty brown ale. My least favorite beer I have brewed.


Oh wait a minute... My gf has one lone jai alai IPA in the fridge. Who would notice their last beer is missing? No one, that's who.

JT, you ever have any cigar city brews up your way? Their IPA is pretty damn good. One of my favs
 
Yeah we get some CC beers. I don't recall seeing the IPA, but I will look for it.

Now I am drinking a Double IPA called Steelhead byt Mad River Brewing Co. of Blue Lake, CA.

West Coast Style IPA.
 
Damn I didn't know CC has made it that far north. Good for them.

Yeah if you like regular IPA's look for their Jai Alai IPA. I think it scores really high on BA, plus just recently I read that it was voted like top 5 IPAs. I could be making that part up though, but it was mentioned.
