craft beer

That would be a good question. With all the crap in my house, I have no pilsener or ale glasses. So I go at it the unrefined way, straight from the bottle to my mouth. This is going to change shortly. I am picking up the beer for the fishing trip, so I am going to get some new stuff to try. If they have this, I will get another one.

i need to do the same ...

chest freezers first, though ...

done well, a long time, although it continues to evolve in the bottles to varying extents ...

i think a year's not too much trouble in most cases, but i defer to any of the folks who know better ...

it was pretty exciting to drink it ... was better than i expected.

At 10.6% ABV you can feel one of these after drinking it. ;)

What beer is that Grant?

Sorry if you already mentioned it and I missed it. I had the roughest physical labor work today of my life I think and I am 53!

so, i dunno ... 32oz of <= 6.5% beer is actually a pretty reasonable serving as it turns out ...

i was a little apprehensive of buying the 32oz swing-top's instead of the 16oz ... but it makes bottling/handling a couple of gallons really simple, and on any given night where I want beer at all, 32oz is about right ...

i think i'll go ahead and pick-up a set of 16oz too, though ... for the bigger beers.

That stuff is *VERY* tasty (to me) ...
it reminds me a lot of that Founders Imperial stout.  I love the texture.  Its honestly like drinking a dessert.

My favorites are Golden Monkey, Hop Devil, Storm King, and Old Horizontal, but they are all good.

I picked up a Hop Devil in a pick your own 6 today to try it out.  I said I need to give IPAs a more concerted effort so i followed through.

The initial bitterness of the first drink always takes me by surprise.  But I have to say that it is pretty good.  The IPAs with an overpowering coriander taste are ones that I will never be able to come around to.  Which is funny, because I love cilantro.

Can you get Victory beers down there Grant?  If you do, try Storm King.  it is a hoppy stout.  That might be your gateway beer.  After the Storm King, try the Hop Devil.

You might also give Southern Tiers Iniquity a try. It's actually the only beer my wife will touch. It's a Black Lager not a stout but still dang tasty and Wheebz still won't tell me how to make it
