Can you get Victory beers down there Grant?  If you do, try Storm King.  it is a hoppy stout.  That might be your gateway beer.  After the Storm King, try the Hop Devil.
Storm King looked intriguing but it wasn't offered as a u-pick option unfortunately.

Will try those ... we do have access to some of the Victory line, and I was able to pick-up a Southern Tier Creme Brulee the other day ... I liked the base stout underneath, but true to my own norms, hated the taste of the flavoring ...

I had to eat Reese's pieces behind chugs, because the aftertaste of the flavoring was foul (to me) ...

Yes, I know Wheebz worked there and this could be taken wrong, but it's not the beer - it's me ...

I can't stand when flavoring tastes artificial ... I don't like flavored coffee, flavored tea etc either ... EVER. Just give me loose leaf ...

I assume that I receive them the way that Wheebz received extract ... just don't like.

Here's another from my u-pick6 pack. I like this better than the Hop Devil. This is definitely a mellower IPA

I have a vague foggy recollection of enjoying the two in the same glass. We
agree on Oskar Blues Ten Fidy and Duke's mayonnaise so our tastes cannot
be too terribly dissimilar.

The beer will be flowing shortly ... and I mean, FLOWING ... so. sore. OMG.

Haha, me too.  Desk jobs definitely have their disadvantages…although, tomorrow I am looking forward to just sitting there looking at my computer.

Heading here after work.  Definitely going to try the Lefthand milk stout....any others that you guys like?

Right off the bat Hoppin' Frog's Imperial Oatmeal, for sure ...

The specific one I had was B.O.R.I.S. ( http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/14879/47695/), but that one should be in the same vein - right?

Old Rasputin is $ ...

The GD Yeti is good, too ... some are wood aged etc, but the normal one is pretty good all by itself ...

I drink Shipyard Bluefin as a session beer ... it's a stout lite in my book, like Guinness/Murphy's etc ...
