Crazy weather

Today is just wild, the wind came up 35-40 mph with gusts to 45-50..things blowing all over the place. Tipped the lawn swing completely over. It landed on one of our big pepper pots and split it down the middle. I was sitting on the swing to work on the overwintering peppers the other day but who knew this would happen? That wasn't bad enough, looked out the window after the second time of going out and it was snowing...now c'mon, enough already for this day. I'm done chasing things and staying in where it's warm. Are you getting the wind CH?

Is snow this time of year common
When it comes to Cleveland the saying is, "If you don't like the weather, wait 5 minutes." We've had hail on a clear day in June when it was 80 degrees out once....so to answer you question....I guess it's common....

it was 88F this afternoon here and is supposed to be in the 30s Tuesday morning...fall is trying to get a hold but this north texas weather is trying to push it out a little further...

sorry to hear about your swing pf...and snow already?....geez...

Yep the long ago years when I was trick or treating, many were spent in boots and snow suits...costumes in the midwest fit over snow suits lol. I don't think this snow will stick but today's high so far has been 37 and it's not warming up. RB our time goes back next Sunday, I know what you mean about dark shortly after 4.

yep! didnt get snow, just some light rain & sleet & it wasnt much of that either.
dont worry it'll most likely be the same winter as previous ones, where theres no real snow depth until Jan./Feb. & you'll still be able to see your lawn in Dec.

I sure would love to see a remake of halloween 1991 :hell::lol: damn we all got dumped on with snow then got dumped on again about 2 weeks later that year, it was crazy & cool.

I remember it well CH, that was a snow for sure. We had more snow before the end of the year than we normally had all winter. I heard this year is forecast to be a milder than normal winter. I personally am not a winter person, like snow but have no use for cold and ice. I'll take summer any day.

Uep R.B the rain came and we had 80 mph winds in wales..Just another day really lol but this week its frost time so its cut back whats left and time to think of 09 season ;)

Dodged another bullet

They have just cancelled a freeze warning here in Ft Worth and redid the forecast calling for a low tonight of 39F...looks like I dodged another bullet for the near future...supposed to back to 81F Friday...low in the morning 39, Wednesday morning 46, then nothing below 53 is shown until the end of the extended forecast November 5th...that means one more good harvest....this time, it will be superhots....

I hope you guys up north didn't get caught off guard with the cold and make it thru the winter very nicely...

Looks like you and me are having the about same weather, AJ. I'm bringing my Caribbean red in tonight and tuesday night just in case, you know?

Lucky you AJ they're forecasting 17 for a low tonight...that's crazy! Way too early for me but the rest of the week should be warmer. I hope so anyway.

well, the SOBs redid the forecast again and are calling for 28-32 in the morning...really caught me off guard but I brought in 3 Bhut Jolokias, 7 Dorset Nagas (real ones, not the Ebay ones), 6 Fatalii and 5 Devils tongue...my poor 7 pots and T. Scorpions are full of pods but I can't move them because the roots have grown thru the bottoms of the pots and I can't break them loose...oh well, there's always next year...and I moved the 2nd year O. Hab in the house...all the others are in the garage...
