Alrighty folks! It's almost plant out time and that means that my basement and lights are going to be freed up for some crossing projects through the summer. 
 
I have 4 DWC buckets available for growing peppers indoors all summer. (not to mention racks for seedling growout)
2 spots are already taken by White Fatalii and CGN-21500.
 

 
These Plants will be the Base for all my other crosses. Meaning that I will use pollen from plants that are outdoors in the rest of my collection crossed with these. These will be tagged and harvested and grown out in the basement to choose phenos. I'm planning on going for taste more than heat.

Once the poll is complete Thursday night- the two winning plants will be moved to the hydro system and this thread will serve as my grow log for this project. 

Y'all are more than welcome to offer suggestions as to what you would like to see crossed with what as well. I'm sure I will be sharing seeds with most of you at some point (prolly F2? maybe some F1's)

Several storms blew through yesterday. Ripped off all the crossed flowers on Aji Amarillo, busted up a few other plants. 
 
Went ahead and harvested the Bahamian goat and Carboneros that where crossed with Butch T Yellow
 

 
Thankfully there was no mutant baby pods in the baha goat like all the other ones I've picked. Got a fair amount of seeds from it to work with.

Pretty easy to tell which of the 3 "Not a 7pot" X Bhut T yellows is getting kept.

More than likely the last of the crosses to ripen this summer. Got one more on the 7pot burgundy then that's it. Doubt anything else I try would ripen before winter. 
A little disappointing that the majority of the 50+ crosses I tried the ones with Butch T Yellow where the main ones to take. Even less have germinated. 
 
Aji Amarillo X Caribbean red habanero - Will germinate these next spring. Plants get too tall and pods take too long for indoor attempts at a grow. 
 

 
Paper Lantern Habanero X Butch T Yellow - Really looking forward to these. If any germinate they will probably get a spot in the hydro.

I'm excited to see my first hooks on the butch T x bahamian goat. Was starting to worry that nothing was going to germinate for me.

Harvested a few crossed pods. Aji Amarillo pollinated by caribbean red hab. Paper Lantern pollinated by Butch T yellow and Aji Pineapple pollinated by Butch T as well.

Another butch T yellow X baha goat broke soil, that makes for 3 and one more is starting to hook. 
 
I also dusted bahamian goat with goatsweed and visa  versa. 
 
Couldn't get much for fresh pollen off either so hopefully  they take.

Yay, after many failed attempts Bahamian Goat X Goatsweed finally stuck. On two flowers side by side no less.

My 7pot burgundy X oops I forgot is getting ready to ripen. Hopefully  what ever I crossed it with will be easy to figure out. Had to of been either bbg7, cgn-21500 or several others

Is the bahamian goat x moa only grown indoors and do you think that's why it could be runty? Would you try growing the f1 (if you have any left) and f2 seeds outdoors next year to see if there's a difference?

It's just the crossed pod that's runty, that plant throws them all sizes but I find the hydro does seem to effect pods differently than outdoors. If I get any viable seeds from it I will certainly grow them out. I'll start indoors as soon as they are harvested and either move outdoors in spring or if i've gotten pods off them by then I'll grow out the next gen outdoors.

Next year's going to be the year of the crosses where I mostly grow out these f1 and f2's
