Alrighty folks! It's almost plant out time and that means that my basement and lights are going to be freed up for some crossing projects through the summer.

I have 4 DWC buckets available for growing peppers indoors all summer. (not to mention racks for seedling growout)
2 spots are already taken by White Fatalii and CGN-21500.

These Plants will be the Base for all my other crosses. Meaning that I will use pollen from plants that are outdoors in the rest of my collection crossed with these. These will be tagged and harvested and grown out in the basement to choose phenos. I'm planning on going for taste more than heat.

Plants to choose from

My biggest focus will be crossing the White Fatalii with CGN-21500 but will do plenty of other crosses with them as well.

Once the poll is complete Thursday night- the two winning plants will be moved to the hydro system and this thread will serve as my grow log for this project.

Y'all are more than welcome to offer suggestions as to what you would like to see crossed with what as well. I'm sure I will be sharing seeds with most of you at some point (prolly F2? maybe some F1's)

Awesome! Thanks for the update, is just me or does the one have larger leaves than the other?

An update on your Lemon Drop X Inca Berry crosses.

I had a bit of an outbreak of broad mites.. those bastards... so lost a few plants, but these two are doing well.

if I remember correctly the big floppy leaves look similar to how the inca berry seedlings had looked when I was growing it out last spring.

Yup they do seem slightly different as far as their proportions go. Not sure if its environmental - they were both in the same area, light, temp, water, etc.

Seedlings

First flower open on the "not 7pot yellow" X Butch T Yellow.

Getting ready to make room in the hydro system for a few of these. Cutting down, butch t yellow and white fatalii and trimming back the bahamian goat. want to keep one for some peppers through the winter.

Cleaned out the hydro today. Tossed the white fatalii and butch T yellow that weren't really producing and had bacterial spots.

Keeping the Bahamian goat but gave it a big haircut. Here she is before.

and in the background after

Not a 7pot yellow x butch T yellow

Moved a few of the cross seedlings into the hydro. Here they will stay until spring.

Might as well put the seedling tray in here as well and save on electricity.

Waiting a few more days before I harvest the Bahamian goat that was pollinated by goatsweed.

I forgot to mention that I had harvested the bahamian goat pod crossed with goatsweed. Only had 3 runty seeds in it. Soaked them in a tea solution and forgot about them. Needless to say that cross didn't take this year.... always next I guess.

Another update on your Lemon Drop X Inca Berry plants. The outdoor one suffered some mites attacks but is now coming right, the DWC one is finally started to grow decent size roots and has doubled in height in the last two weeks.
