Alrighty folks! It's almost plant out time and that means that my basement and lights are going to be freed up for some crossing projects through the summer.

I have 4 DWC buckets available for growing peppers indoors all summer. (not to mention racks for seedling growout)
2 spots are already taken by White Fatalii and CGN-21500.

These Plants will be the Base for all my other crosses. Meaning that I will use pollen from plants that are outdoors in the rest of my collection crossed with these. These will be tagged and harvested and grown out in the basement to choose phenos. I'm planning on going for taste more than heat.

Plants to choose from

My biggest focus will be crossing the White Fatalii with CGN-21500 but will do plenty of other crosses with them as well.

Once the poll is complete Thursday night- the two winning plants will be moved to the hydro system and this thread will serve as my grow log for this project.

Y'all are more than welcome to offer suggestions as to what you would like to see crossed with what as well. I'm sure I will be sharing seeds with most of you at some point (prolly F2? maybe some F1's)

Well, I imagine it's time to do the culling. The little 3" pots are crowded.

Tony Sherwoods Carbonero X Butch T Yellow f1

Paper Lantern Habanero X Butch T Yellow f1

Aji Pineapple x Butch T Yellow f1 (got one in hydro too but it's all runty and sad)

Butch T Yellow X Bahamian goat hab f1

n7py X bty

The baha goat I trimmed up is coming back really dense and loaded with flowers. I will have to move the seedlings away from it soon so it doesn't drop pollen on them.

I forgot to mention that I had harvested the bahamian goat pod crossed with goatsweed. Only had 3 runty seeds in it. Soaked them in a tea solution and forgot about them. Needless to say that cross didn't take this year.... always next I guess.

:mope:  Hopefully next year.

Me too, a little disappointed that the greatest majority of crosses that took involved butch T though. Was really hoping for some the other possibilities

Why? ... so many BS peppers out there, and Butch T's are legit rockstar IMO ...

All Reaper pods on my plants looked like their pollen was collected in thalidomide ...

Did some cleaning in the basement today and decided to pot some the crosses up to 1gal pots.

Butch T Yellow X bahamian goat

the one in hydro doing well.

Aji Pineapple X Butch T Yellow

Carbonero X Butch T Yellow

Paper Lantern X Butch T Yellow

Everyone all huddled up in the veg cabinet. There's two cabinets side by side but only one in use atm.

Lots of flowers and small pods forming on the bahamian goat from last year. I had trimmed it way back and it's coming in super bushy.

I plan on adding another LED pendant but two of my spares have half the light panels out. I took them apart (120 screws holy $hit!) and seems they used hot glue to hold the power wire connections onto the board. Some seemed loose so going to solder them into place here as soon as I get paid and can pick up some solder wire. Maybe put some new thermal paste under the bulbs.

Your Lemon Drop X Inca Berry are coming along well.

Both the DWC and the soil plants are doing well. Massive growth since my last update, and a bunch of flowers are popping through. Still a couple of weeks away from opening though.

Sweet thanks for the update! they are getting nice and big, shouldn't be long on pods at all.
I had one forming on the n7pybs X butch t y. but it dropped when I forgot to water for a few days.

I finally got to finish reading this glog. All I can say is WOW!
The effort you have put into these crosses is just amazing. I look forward to following your progress with them in the year ahead.

Thanks!, hopefully will be more success next year.

Crosses are doing good but have been getting fungus gnats. I did a soil drench with azamax last watering. I was hoping to have some f2 seeds already at this point but oh well.

Butch T Yellow  X Bahamian goat is getting bushy

Speaking of bushy the bahamian goat mother I had cut way back has grown in with a vengeance and fully loaded with pods. The most i've seen on it.

Too bad they aren't the best shape like the one I grew outdoors but they still taste the same.
