Alrighty folks! It's almost plant out time and that means that my basement and lights are going to be freed up for some crossing projects through the summer.

I have 4 DWC buckets available for growing peppers indoors all summer. (not to mention racks for seedling growout)
2 spots are already taken by White Fatalii and CGN-21500.

These Plants will be the Base for all my other crosses. Meaning that I will use pollen from plants that are outdoors in the rest of my collection crossed with these. These will be tagged and harvested and grown out in the basement to choose phenos. I'm planning on going for taste more than heat.

Plants to choose from

My biggest focus will be crossing the White Fatalii with CGN-21500 but will do plenty of other crosses with them as well.

Once the poll is complete Thursday night- the two winning plants will be moved to the hydro system and this thread will serve as my grow log for this project.

Y'all are more than welcome to offer suggestions as to what you would like to see crossed with what as well. I'm sure I will be sharing seeds with most of you at some point (prolly F2? maybe some F1's)

Dude those look wicked. Awesome that you have pods. I'm still waiting on some. Once those ripen I wouldn't mind some seeds.

Had to go with the community garden this year. Just not enough sun at the new place but luckily it's temporary. Just those five lonely buckets for now.
It's an 8 gallon bucket so the plant size might be deceiving.
2 baha goat/butch pods coming along
Shape reminds me of Jamaican hot chocolate almost

I meant to post this earlier. Got a little pod on one of the Paper Lanter x Butch T Yellow. This one is still in a cup and will go in a self watering container soon. Been freaking out with what I think is a broad mite infestation on my other plants.

Very nice!

Have you tried azamax? Worked great for me last year, got rid of the spider mites and didn't  see any aphids all summer.

Thanks, you get as many seeds and pods as you want. I'm really curious to see what color these turn and what July pods look like. Definitely looks a little hot chocolatey at the moment.

Community garden people did say they can't stay in pots which means I got some tilling to do. There is tons and tons and tons of grass/leaf compost in the garden that I'll till in. The soil will be phenomenal especially since I've got 8 gallons of primo already in those pots that will go in as is. For 20 bucks the plot is worth it.

This could sound cliche but maybe try a habanero hot lemon x moa yellow. Think you had trouble getting anything to cross with moa, this one might stick and you know I'd germ up seeds for you. I like the idea of keeping colors similar but pod shape way different to see what happens.

Btw everything looks awesome ya prick ya

I love the Aji Pineapple x Butch T. I love a lot of your crosses. Next year, I want to grow lots of crosses. I really like what your doing. It's awesome. Only cross I'm growing is SRTSL x BBG. Might try and cross Aji Pineapple with Genghis Khan.

Since I'm here. Does it matter what plant I pollinate? Aji pollen to Ghenghis blossom, or Ghenghis pollen to Aji blossom?

Thanks for sharing.

I'd try both ways.

May be coincidence but so far what ever I use as the mother is the main genetic traits in the f1 phase at least. So like a baccatum x chinense the resulting plant is predominantly baccatum with baccatum flowers.

But that's just anecdotal I could be wrong
