Damn Brown Recluse Bite Strikes Again

texas blues said:
Just go to the damn witch doctor and have him look at it. Maybe inject it with some antibiotics or botox or capsacian or battery acid. Seriously, go to the doctor. Get better man.

Cheers, TB.

The anti-biotics don't work. Once you are bit, the poisin stays in your system...for life. There's no getting rid of it. The stuff I have usually works for the puss build up (some sort of psyliselic acid or something, have to find the name and post it) and seems to take care of the problem until it crops up again.

Ya, what Sickmont said...but you've seen those and commented when they happened.

As for what's hapening now, it's just a small lump under my skin right now, you can't see it so pic's aren't worth it.

Situation Update: It's kinda leveled off, it's not growing and the soreness isn't incresing. I think the meds are starting to kick in. And the stuff I'm using has Salicylic Acid in it.

Keep an eye on what you're eating when these flare-ups happen. Just like hives, certain foods will kickstart these reactions pretty good.

Ah crap! What a party pooper! I was hoping you'd show a pic of maybe a blowhole opening up on the old wound and maybe some creepy crawly 'thangs with pinchers coming out or maybe even a miniature "alien chest burst" thingy on you cheek. Your minions want drama and ectoplasmic goo!

Cheers, TB.

Actually, i spoke too soon. There is a bruse starting to show up. tried to take a pic but it doesn't show up.

So you ARE going to the vet right? Gotta' be something they can do. If not....take pics when you start shooting webs from your wrists. I'm guessing you already have the costume.

Nope, not going to the vet...err...doctor. Trust me, I've been before, there's nothing they can do. As for the webs....they're shooting....but not from my wrists....

Brown recluse venom is extremely necrotic and will eat flesh at the site of the bite for a long, long time. One of the more recent "therapies" uses maggots to eat the dead flesh.

They put several maggots over the wound and then seal them in. Since they won't eat living flesh they stop when all the dead flesh has been consumed.

So if that lump ever opens up and you see your skin beginning to dissolve go find some maggots. Yeah.

Here's a video of it being done on a ladies heal. If you look there is a follow up video showing the results. Amazing stuff.

Did the doctors tell you that or did you get that over the Internet? I doubt that any spider venom could stay in your system for life, unless it killed you soon after biting you. The body should eventually flush it out. I'd go to a dermatologist. Maybe it's an allergic thing.

I've heard it from alot of sorces over the years. The same is with scorpin venom to an extent.
