Deployment 2010

jg is a good rank...not quite experience to get good and yelled at and not the FNG any more...congrats...

Thank you for the beautiful pics- my art history studies have made me really appreciate archtecture, and its cool to see the ancient against the modern.

Yea, I like the one in Haifa with the huge modern building and that small mosque (I think) nearby that is tiny in comparison.

Welcome home xgraf. The first two years went by pretty quick didn't they? You made any decisions on staying longer yet?

Why was the guy getting sprayed?

How much time you going to have dry feet?

Thanks Patrick! Yea, looking back they did.. there were certainly times that crawled by at the time though. I'm planning on staying in.

The OC spray is part of a security reaction team class. We all get the fun of going through that one. The Wardroom claims that my love for spicy food helped me get through mine without any trouble.

Not sure exactly, we won't deploy for a while but we will be getting underway here or there.

On the plus side, we won't be doing any really long cruises (3 or so weeks tops) so I bought a couple spiders! Got a great deal on a P metallica and X immanis!

Awesome pics, sir! Ive been to a good half of those places. LOVED Haifa and just about everywhere in Italy I went. Was also on the VBSS team. (Had friends that were GM's, so I got to carry the 60. Loved it SO much!) Its kinda funny....brings back memories of a lot of stuff with some of the pics....UNREP's, VERTREPS, CIWS, 5 inch, and the good old fashioned AEGIS Cruiser. Almost went in as an AEGIS tech. Ended up as a computer periph tech. Would have LOVED to have been on the San Antonio.
How long is ya'lls stand down?
And Im in the same boat with ya on the spray and when I went through the gas chamber in boot camp. I was in the back, and when got to the front, had to run in place and jog singing "Anchors Away" since I wasnt hurting that bad. Was kinda funny, others were puking when I got out. I just had a REALLY bad runny nose and a sore throat. AWESOME times!
Welcome back, sir!

Sean
