DF 2020 Glog

Will we get warm weather and all the snow melts then we get another dump of snow and deep freeze, then it warms up and back down again etc.. etc..

I agree mostly. Ladybugs rarely really seem to help much at all. They definitely kill aphids, but I don't ever expect them to actually control am infestation. This year lady bugs seemed to hang out longer than before and we have more wild ladybugs as well maybe because I plant a few thousand ladybugs each year I don't know for sure. They have never made a noticeable difference for me.

The only time I've really seen them work well
is when a natural lady lays eggs on a plant with
aphids, and the hatchlings kick a$$ on the aphids!

My home started peppers going to hang onto a bit longer before planting.
Also the ground cover adds some heat to protect the plants.

The 40's shouldn't hurt, if you feel it's going to frost run the sprinkler on them.
I've done this and it works; saved 95 out of 96 plants when the temps went down to about 27°, was maybe lower.

Three of my Pepper survivors from last year, hard to see the ones on the Left but they got new leaves on their.
Nights still go to +10c, all plants outside.

My last indoor grows. Their are Aphids but not in mass amounts, the Marigold might be working, when the flowers dried up their were more aphids so hope to continue for them to grow and see if I can get rid of the Aphids for good.

Nice combo for some great pods!  I've heard good things about ROF and was hoping to grow it this year, but it slipped through the cracks.

Hoping they grow fast, two and a half months till snow time
I have less peppers then expected, the green houses almost had nothing so some of the usual were not their, so no Holy Moley peppers or Ghost. 
Apparently the stores didnt order plants because they figured with the lock down people would not be buying, instead its been record breaking gardening and Baking.

I grew ring of fire last year - it's a surprisingly sturdy plant and although it looks scraggly, it still put out a ton of pods. It's hot but not super hot so makes for a good pepper to add to cooking etc. They're also good green.

I had the same issue at the greenhouses. The pickings were slim. The order came in once and you either fought the hordes or you passed on the plants. I was able to get both a ghost and a reaper though. However, this is the 4th night of single digit temps. and just like you it is going to hit 5. The plants look rough! I should have keep them indoors like you did for a longer period of time DF.

marigold update, I would say they have an effect but not hundred percent.
