Dollar Menu Dare VIDEOS!

You people that chose to stay out of the contest need to shut the eff up about who's disqualified and who isn't. Your only say comes with your vote. If the three who did the challenge want to put up a protest about Naga and only eating one burger fine, they have the right to. I see HH said he's fine with it, classy. Biz wants to win this so bad he's hinting Naga should be DQ'd. Do the prizes mean that much? The entire point of the challenge wasn't to see who ate the most burgers, it was who ate the powder.

Hophead that's very nice of you to use red and a larger font so we can all be sure of what your opinion is. What makes you believe any of us here think your opinion matters?

Patrick, all due respect, but the members have a right to voice their opinion on the voting, when the OFFICIAL rules were never edited by muskymojo, nor do they appear in the poll of this post. This is the challenge people are voting on:

It will be 1/2 oz of blended superhot powder (provided by me) on two McDoubles from McDonalds.

Rules and regulations

* The 2 burgers must be finished in 10 minutes or less.

It was musky's duty to change the rules text, if they were changed, or note in the poll that one burger was acceptable.

In the secret ingredient TD, there was a member that did not use the exact correct ingredients. This was noted in the poll to avoid any DQ requests. So this is another lesson learned. But don't jump on members for calling for DQ when they are voting on who won this challenge.

Yo no one is crying the rules were put in as peramiters so insure all was fair, the only different aspect was the condiment I dont eat ketchup so i chose mayo and for any one that thanks the mayo cools it down by all means give it a whirl, and let me know your thoughts, I went stricly by the rules musky changed 10 times and finalized before he sent the powder out. Had i known i could use one burger I would have. I had the milk in front. I was under tbe impression we all were doing the same thing except the condiment. I only did the pure evil for all of you guys to be entertained. And yeah the two burgers dragged out the pain process. So am I cryin no, am I taken away from NAGA'S aswesome display not at all . Just clarifying. And when its all done Win or lose I'll carry on with no hard feelings as I know I just did some epic shit

I'm really sorry for causing all of the problems here.

But take a step back, and look at it from my point of view.

This started off as a DARE. It wasn't a regimented cooking challenge with standardized ingredients and hard fast rules no.

It was about 1/2 ounce of superhot powder on ANY dollar menu item. Hence the "Dollar Menu Dare" thread title. The move to the McDouble happened as the realization that 1/2 ounce of powder would need more real estate sat in. So the McDouble was suggested because of the three layers. Even that looked tenuous, so it turned into two. I personally didn't think it was going to be possible on one.

I changed my mind on the fly. When I saw how thick the paste was, I knew it would fit onto one burger, so I made the switch. After all I DID buy two. But as a dare, people always up the ante. I knew it was on the minds of every dare taker. And I wasn't the only one that exceeded the challenge rules one way or another. I used all the called for ingredients, just not the same amount with the exception of the powder. I used very bit of that.

When I signed on there really wasn't much in the way of prizes. It was all about who could muscle that mess down. That's why the smack talk started from practically the first post. Testosterone, bravado, and stupidity among friends and associates.

Now another thing. If any of you are seriously thinking that I couldn't have handled another three or four minutes of heat by eating the other burger, you are patently incorrect. It took me 5 minutes and 15 seconds to get through the one. (and I do believe that is less than 10 minutes) I was intentionally deliberate. I didn't want anyone to say I put all the powder on one burger, and slammed it in three bites. Another 3 + minutes of it would have been inconsequential. After the first minute, it was like high on a burner. There wasn't any more heat building, it was on full tilt, and didn't let off for a solid 20+ minutes. Another few bites would positively NOT have mattered.

Vote as you wish. I don't really care. I know what I did, and I had fun doing it.

I feel bad for Musky in all this. He endured a lot through all the changes and issues other people brought up, and tried to accommodate them as best as he could.
I also feel bad for StandByAndFire. Silly to have gone through all that, and had a technological failure wipe out the effort. There was a lot of other unnecessary drama in the whole thing due to others. It didn't need to continue in this thread.

So my deepest apologies to all those that felt I stepped out of line. But you can kiss my ass. It was a DARE.

Thank you Musky for putting up with all of it.

And nuthin' but respect for Biz, HabaneroHeat81, and Stand By And Fire.

Beer for all! even the ones who think I somehow cheated...

You're good in my book, Naga - the dare was the powder.

As the person who suggested the 2 McDoubles, I can vouch that it was ONLY because of concern over surface area - that there may not be enough real estate.

I don't see any issue with it.

This entire event was/is for fun. Let's keep it that way.

SB&F - get your vid posted & I'll send you the coupon - anyone who puts themselves through this deserves something.

First vote for THE BIZ was THE BIZ...Naga still hasn't voted for himself...Naga kept his composure throughout the vid, during the discussions leading up to, and since. That is why he got my vote.

Seriously folks for those that never use the stuff...you really don't understand. These powders are hotter than police grade OC (oleoresin capsicum or pepper) spray. I use the stuff nightly on my food, and it only takes one tip (just the tip...lol) of a spoonful to make a bowl of chili toasty warm. Props to all, whether or not their vid got uploaded and they're getting the votes or not. BIZ...crazy for taking the pure evil on top. Naga...your poise was freakishly not ok with me, just not natural. And HH...more power to ya...dry or not the H2O cost you the contest. That story was freaking epic though, maybe a made for tv docudrama someday...

The criteria that I used to get my vote was who kept the integrity of the powder. And for that my vote went to Naga! Just by limiting the additives (2 packets of ketchup) and a burger (he still would've gotten my vote even if it was two burgers... just because he wasn't so liberal with his condiments). Lets face it, if this was a 'shot' contest the person who had the least amount of 'chasers' would've gotten my vote!

I hear you Boss and I agree people should be able to voice their opinion but I don't think someone who isn't involved has the right to call for anyone's disqualification. They use the vote to voice their opinion.

I do hate seeing this turning into a pissing contest though. Live and learn.

;)

Kidding.

I'll send a mystery hot sauce package to the three contestants. Then everyone's a winner. PM your addresses.

As far as the poll goes, I wanted to keep it vague, and let the members decide their own voting criteria. I guess I should have pasted the rules in the first post of this thread, but I was just trying to post the videos asap after the deadline. I watched them for the first time after I posted them, just like everyone else. Going back to edit the rules after the videos were posted would have gone over like a turd in a punch bowl. I aslo wasn't keen on noting facts about each video in the poll. I think it would seem like suggestions, and could sway votes. I wanted everyone to watch all 3 videos, and come up with their own conclusions.

It was really about eating 1/2 oz of superhot powder for everyone's amusement. All 3 guys did that, and did it well. Thanks again to you crazy bastards for manning up and getting it done! It was definitely amusing!
