Earth Hour

Be sure to turn on every light in your house to celebrate and participate in Earth Hour. Turn them on at 8:30 pm local time and leave them on for an hour.

Hahahahahahaha. We had ours here last night.
The street was very dark, seems people got it back to front here Wizza!

I thought this was gonna be the same as last years "earth hour" thread, IMO earth hour is a joke!!!! its to let some yuppies feel good about themselves for an hour.

I'll leave it at that cuz I've said enough about it in the previous thread.

kinda cool its a bigger deal this year in the states and is also the 30 year aniversery of three mile island. Im a big "right to dry" advocate. If every one in the US air dried their clothes we could de-commisssion all our nuclear reactors. Its about to start snowing in less than an hour so no washing for me tonight think I will just be able to stay off the phone for the hour. I almost always try to limit my electricity when ever I can

De-commissioning nuclear reactors is a good thing?

I guess coal is better!

Personally, if there is conclusive evidence that man is altering the climate and needs to go green; why do us little folk have to do it first? What about big business and industry that are massive polluters? We make a small dent, they do by far the lions share.

Not to say we don't live in an overconsuming world, but I think I will be celebrating Human Achievement day too :)

When is it? I'm going to go very green I've already started by going to electric on my bike, By the way I will always use a charcoal grill!

That's a promise, unless its raining or storming outside.

If it's raining just bring your charcoal grill in the house and be sure to close all your doors and windows.

And top the coals off with some plastic bottles. For flavoring that is...
