event Fiery Foods & Barbecue Show - March 5 - 7, 2010

Call them and find out. It may be the type of event that doesn't sell out as people are coming and going.

I am not coming in until Friday morning - but I would be up to having a beer or three and meet a few folks sometime over the weekend

Are we going to have any form of "semi-official" THP get-together perhaps Thurs night?

I honestly think it will be hard to avoid. Thursday is setup day for the vendors, and Thursday night is nice and mellow, kind of the calm before the storm. There are 3 bars in the place, the Casino Bar, the Sports bar and the Roof bar (better at night). Many manufacturers will be hanging out at the Casino Bar or Sports Bar Thursday late afternoon into evening, after setting up their respective booths.

if I had known I would have come a day earlier - oh well, I will just have to drink double the other nights to make up for it

Not sure what my Thursday night plans are. I'm coming in Thursday evening around dinner time, but I might be playing taxi to a few of the other blogger guys as their flights come in later.

I should be to the airport by 3 or so Thursday afternoon, I'd be game for whatever. Saturday is the only day we don't intend on spending much at the Casino, we'll be out and about doing things the wife wants to do.

Do they have name badges at these events? and how will everyone know who everyone is who members of forums...aside from those like Scott Roberts, who is pretty much Scott Roberts where ever he logs in....

I mean how is anyone going to know who elthznd901 is at the festival unless they have a name tag that reads- "Ethel Leona Teresa Harrietta Zelda Naomi Drake and I live at 901 Elm Street"?

I just thought it would be interesting to have a person's login name on their badge so someone could come up and say......."so YOU'RE Texas Blues! I LOVE your food shots!" and then y'all could go have a beer or 10............

T-Minus 48 hours until the Defcon Pallet of Doom begins it's journey towards Albuquerque...

LOL! "The Pallet of Doom"...is it being sent by train in one of those 3-feet thick, radiation-proof vessels, that if it gets derailed everything within a 15-mile radius would have to be evacuated?

:P

I sure was going to go....but ,alas, the dining room table and TV needed to be replaced. :(

If anyone wants to help me out by grabbing some stuff for me while you're there, I'll happily make it worth your while!

If I were traveling by car, I would be more than happy to help you with this. Sorry I can't.

Honestly, on Saturday and Sunday, it is virtually impossible to find anyone at the show, unless you have a predetermined place to meet up, I'm not kidding.

I have been sworn to secrecy to the manner it which this evil pallet beast is being transported. Not to worry, NORAD has been contacted, and will be able to scramble the necessary personnel in case of leakage, radiation or otherwise.

If you're dealing-out anything unique at the show, save me one!

Do you all have any recommendations/booths that MUST be checked out. You guys already got me hooked on Cajohns, coming from a big fan of blairs prior.
