Glass-blowing project

eXtreme Business
SalsaKid received a gift certificate to a local art glass studio to do a glass blowing project, i decided to join him in making a glass float. In the course of the discussion with the artist about what to make, I asked if I could make a chile pepper. They said that was a little too complicated for a first project, but it got us discussing chiles and hot sauces. They asked if I had some sauces with me (which I Just Happened to have ;) ) so the artist gave me a glass chile in trade for some sauces. SWEEET!

A couple more pics of the 'Kid and I, and the last picture is a What Is It???

We were at the studio about an hour. It actually only took about 1/2 hour each, but we staggered it so we could take pics. I wanna go do another one!

Scovie, you have the NuTone right, not a rotissarie, not a fan...

Hm. NuTone makes the ventilation systems used in the art department of one of the schools I've attended - notably in the ceramics studio where certain chemicals must be mixed in a ventilation chamber. So I would be inclined to think it was related to a ventilation or vacuum system, though you've already ruled out fan.....

Good guess, geeme, but the NuTone thing is in the house we're staying in, not the art studio. I should of made that clear...

Scovie, you can't see my patooty in the pics!

 Musky~.... the glass pieces are tempered down in some kind of a reverse oven that lowers temps slowly over a 12-hour time. That thing was about the size of a small livestock watering trough.

With all the alkehol consumed around here, I figgured this woulda been a breeze to identify. Here's another pic-
