GNSLNGR 2013,14, and 1 to grow on 2015!,..Just some pics of another on the go "grow"

The grow begins....pictureless. Because everyone should be able to "minds eye" a picture of dirt. Dirt on the road.....
in the back of an FJ for afew days -parking managed by sun light availability.3 days later 1 65 watt halogen to keep em warm.
On the tenth day(10 days after germ beganso closer to 2 weeks), I head back to the ranch-metaphorically thinking...or typing-whatever;)!

Over watered, because got over dry, sink or swim kids.....if you make it, you will rule!
At this point , they're being fed with 2 strip flourescents and a 90 watt grolight.
One cat thought , awesome, it is warm, the humans fuss over this spot, so I will sleep here.I gently extricate cat, for it knows not what it does. I assume waking up in the air will get my point across, as far as "must not sleep there".Seems to work.Uno , my ever watchful Jack Russell Valkyrie Familiar, drives the exclamation point home by chasing "Lira"up the nearest tree. Not much damage due skillful cat handling ;).

3 weeks....getting a watering schedule dialed, most sprouts have returned to their precat status, and yes some got helped back "up".2 or 3 were brutally uprooted in frustration, which I played off as "Let that be a lesson to the rest of you!".No time for the sissy stuff this year. The missing plants have been split and put into 12 Oz'rs.
4 days after this, all potential plantlets were transplanted into 16/20oz cups. Yes I know"Its way to early said the choir"!!!!
Tough shit, hit the dirt, time to drive back to Houston. So I packed up the truck "and they moved to Beverly....", well Houston.
The next pic you will see one tupperware tray, the little kids get to stay home with the evil princess;).

I talk all this smack , and then notice when I get to Houston that the vibration has toppled half of the plants(narrow bases of the 16 oz cups walking around....ahhh F*ck,"We have casualties on the ground, I need air YESTERDAY! I say again...".Shit , Its 23:30.
In 30 minutes, they have been recupped and dual large bore IV'd.To prevent further damage, I seak out plastic cups at the nearest late night Indian owned gasvenience station.....What about beer you ask?....HeHeHe-I left home fully loaded, on ice, I hate driving around late at night looking for beer. I don't really like doing it for cups either, but you what you gotta do, or won't have a grow. The cups were(and did) to provide buffers for the tippers, and were placed inverted in various places to prevent VIT during additional transit required.Photo bucket crapped out so this is it for episode one.
Have a good one-

DBT Podage!

Hey Dave long time no talk just want to say your plants look great.  Good luck with the aphids and can't wait to see some of the pods from all the crazy crosses you grow.  Bound to find a keeper in the mix.  I received a box of pods and a few bottles of sauce from you last year when I wasn't around.  The box was opened/damaged and the shipping label was torn and unreadable.  You reused the sfrb and my original label from some peppers I sent you was the only readable address so I got the goods,  Just a FYI and thanks.

Ahoy Captain,
Same, Same.
I think every box that got sent out around that same time took a hit. Oh , yeah , trust the gov't to run everything LOL.....
So this is twilight zonish , last night I was lookin at my "stash" fave hot sauces-the ones that you will not throw away but only have about a quarter inch left in the bottle because you are SAVING it. The 10 oz BSY7 probably holds the record here-damn good year as they say;).Hope you're doing well ,and catching the hell outta blue things that swim fast and furious. I picked up an interesting blade a while back from a smith named LIVESAY(Newt) that impressed the hell outta me, "The Company Knife"- that one goes back a ways timewise , you might give it a search just for knives sake.
Jedi -
I'm just tryin' get these damn things podding up by shear mental force of SHEAR MENTAL FORCE , but the ever faithful Petin , is keeping me in at least a daily "few samplings"....
Jamie-
SAME,SAME, damnit! The hornet is getting ready to begin the flowers to poddage journey-WAHOO!
Jeff-
This is too damn funny, cause when this firepower catches up to me , I'm gonna be screamin for "AIR"-until then though, the waiting is gonna wear me out! Today saw 2 replacements , and neither one dipped for the sun at high burn time;)

Aye Aye Captain,
All is well just getting older.  Both the fishing and pepper growing has been good this year.  Got a wahoo bite on my left leg earlier this year that is taking forever to heal, I should have gotten stitches.  Dropped a 50 lb. mahi-mahi off a scale a week later and the mouth of the fish ran down my shin on my right leg and left a scar.  Missed winning a tournament by less than lb. with another big wahoo.  I did one of the coolest things this year and got to free gaff a dolphin that came swimming right along side the boat and I stuck it.  There is a video of it on youtube, search "Reel Hooker Fishing" it's about a month ago.

I did check out Newt Livesay knives and the look like sharpened prybars.  The Company knife looks really nice with the 6" recurve double edge, a true fighting knife.  He quit making knives some years ago so yours will only go up in value.  I still frequent the blade forums and have a soft spot for collecting cool knives.  My latest is an 11" blade that is .25 inch thick SR-101 steel that shaves the hair on my arm after cutting a car in half.

I also thought the Yellow BS sauce was exceptionally good, long gone but saving pods now for another batch coming this fall.  Will be sure to save you a bottle my friend.

Tight lines and calm seas.

Glad to see you finally got your plants in-ground Dave! It must be a relief to not have to hump them around and worry about them falling down and hurting themselves...

Most excellent flower pics.. your Iphone does a really creditable job! Continued success bro'. :)

Well hell, where's that damn arc when you need it.....
...and so the rains came, and came....and sitting on the bed of clay that is New Iberia....is just not a good thing for peppers.
Especially with weed barrier and mulch, so its been a tough one on the plants - , I replaced a few again, funny i actually added dry mixed dirt for next plants in line.
Lots of Bacterial Leaf Spot or a very similar afflictions, and the soaked ground drives the ants upwards...and so they ranching their asses off!
Greg- a little of both as to the NagaBrain flower.
Scott-got some weird editing issues though , moving through various computers. Looking at real cameras......
Cappy- I want of those!
I managed a few pics before making tracks to Houston.....

Never caught em at this stage before...cicada "becoming"
