Oh, one more thing (stettoman reminded me) It's a good idea at the end of the year to run ALL of the fuel out of it. Letting it idle until it runs out of gas. This "new fuel" is hard on small engines so if the carburetor isn't free of fuel while being stored for 6+ months, it will gum up and not run the following year. A new carburetor is about $108. Ask me how I know. LOL

Running it out of gas wont get it all out though. On my outboard there is a screw at the bottom of the float bowl you unscrew to get it all out. I imagine most modern small engines have that feature now, although I know nothing about snow plows. Its that old gas in the bowl that makes it hard to start after sitting a season. I believe its the methanol they put in gas now that corrodes and gums up carbs when they sit.

Yes - we usually run out the gas on the rototiller in the Fall. I'll have to remind the boss when the snow is obliterated. Thanks all for the reminders. Any other suggestions would be appreciated since this is his first 'snow toy'.

You guys are spot on! I am lucky that there is still a gas station here that sells ethanol free gasoline. I run it in all my small engines exclusively.

Another tip for Catherinew and her snowthrower, at the begining of the season, while the tool is still clean and dry, I spray the living sh** out of the housing, impeller and chute with silicon spray $3 - $18. And any moving parts like the chute direction adjustment thingy. Snow will not stick to any of it and make cleaning a little easier, especially at warmer temps. (At -15° F snow doesn't stick to ANYTHING LOLOL)

Good morning friends. Hope everyone has a great day. Cold brew and wings for breakfast and a pot of chili brewing for the cold front headed our way. Gave our dog Homer his first bath yesterday and you would have thought it was a pay per view WWE event. Not sure who won but he did get washed, lol. Keep it safe and sexy.

Good morning.  It's too cold for anything other than hot coffee today.  I definitely need it after shoveling the driveway in 9 degree weather, with the windchill hovering around zero.  BUUUUURRRRRR!!!

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning. It's warming up this morning. -6

Weather has been icy. Should get better before worse. Rain and snow forecast for the next two weeks.

Great looking machine Jane. Looks like you all be getting some use out of it. Oh, and your quite welcome on the seed thing. Let me know if there is something else you want. I'll be starting more seeds in the next week. Finally got some true MOA's. Excited to try them again. Great flavor.

If it's not to heavy or wet, I use my backpack leaf blower for the snow. I also use non ethanol in everything. Had lots of problems with the ethanol blends in my two strokes. No problems since I cleaned carbs and switched to non ethanol. I run all my stuff (generator, lawn mower, rototiller ect, once a month. For about twenty minutes. Hate having to do small engines repair in the Spring.

Have a great day.
