off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good Morning Everyone...The past week brought  so much sadness to the world.Here we had some ups& downs.
The Tragedy in NYC & yesterday in TEXAS...what a world we live in...beyond sad..the endless pain.the grieving loved ones.
 
We lost power for a few days d/t high winds & much rain did a number on trees.  ..thank goodness for generators so we were
able to carry on for the most part.
 
Lots of down trees & hence power lines..hundreds of poles were replaced..crews from all around came to help..thankfully.
We did not have any damage...but many folks did..there is something to be said about planting trees near one's house.."don't"..
Then we had family visit from afar & appointments etc...so driving around not fun..power wires around.
 
So..I'm keeping my fingers xed for Chuck ...as the  stress & waiting. not knowing what is wrong is hard to cope with but
with the test results , a Dx will be made & then  a  plan drawn up .good luck tomorrow..we are all holding your hand from afar.

Good morning everyone. Cute pics, GIP. It's a snowy day, but we are off on a museum field trip to Hot Sulfur Springs, population ~600. Its being lead by a geologist so we hope to see interesting rocks near the Springs. The temps are supposed to dip into the teens tonight. Winter is showing up a bit early. Maybe next year I'll be more prepared for the early fury.

Enjoy your day and be thankful for what you have. Pay it backward and forward. Prayers for Chuck today especially.

Sandy, Im glad there was no damage to the house and you guys are safe. As a kid I remember a hurricane in Virginia Beach. Downed trees and power. Terrifying at 7 years old. I hope there is no more of that for you. No power in the winter is no good. Take care.

Good Morning Everyone...its a bit nippy...40's to reach 50's& sunny.
Hopefully no more storms for  awhile...some people still have trees blocking their entrances 10 days later.
Don't forget to vote today.   Hopeful for the best today Chuck, with good results to follow.
