off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. 20-29F, waiting for the sun. Monday errands, then home seed cleanup and inventory. I also need to wash cups and seed starting stuff for next month. Lots to do in the basement.
The birthday party yesterday was very nice we got to learn about his WWII trek out of high school. That man was/is a hero.

Good morning. It's 29F, on its way to a balmy 44F. No sun today. Bummer. Still should get some melting, I hope. How 'bout those Commanders indeed! The FG kicker's new nickname should be Doinker, ha. Now, unfortunately, they're heading to the Lions den:shocked:. We'll see how that goes. Today, we have a few errands to run, then home and futz. Hope everybody has a marvelous Monday. Good morning. It's 20F, on its way to 32F. Calling for partly sunny. I guess the little bit of melting we had yesterday is over. Not much planned for today, besides a run to the P.O. Home and basement futzing, I think. Chili (with beans) this evening. Hope everybody has a terrific Tuesday. Be safe out there and bundle up.
 
Good morning. 16-36F and dry except for the backyard blanket. Today is filled with meetings, good to get most of them over in a day. Still haven’t ventured into the basement lately as it’s a bit colder down there. Maybe . . . when it warms a bit more. I’ve been looking at insect netting to maybe deter Japanese beetles from my garden. They decimated my pole beans last year, so I ordered one ‘bag’ to try.

Good morning. It's 10F on its way to 32F. Sunny with a nice warm up. The snow doesn't seem to be melting. We've still got 8" on the ground. The piles from my plowing are still 3-4' tall! Breakout out the shorts and flip flops! This morning, I'm working in the seedling room on seed starting supplies. I think I've got sufficient inventory of everything, but I'll find out. We're not that far away from starting season! This afternoon, I'm watching the PL matches. Ham-n-beans this evening. Be safe and be good.
 
Good morning. It's 32F on its way to 44F. Extreme warm up. I expect we'll finally get some melting for a couple of days before the Polar Vortex returns on Saturday. Nothing but more futzing in the seedling room today. @ Sic - Love those ham-n-beans with some hot sauce and diced onions on top. We had them with fried potatoes. Damn good. I'll probably have more for lunch. Grilling sausages this evening. Be safe and be good.
 
Good morning. It's 21F, on its way to 37F. Cloudy with flurries this afternoon. It was 11F overnight. Plenty cold enough for me. I don't need an Arctic Blast or Polar Vortex. But, I guess they'll get here soon enough. Brr. Don't plan on going anywhere today. Just misc futzing. Hope everybody has a terrific Thursday. Be safe and stay warm.
 
Good morning. 28-55F, the calm before the storm. 5 days of very cold predicted so today will be errands day instead of the weekend. January is always cold, especially around Stock Show time. Those ranchers are really a tough breed, much respect for them.
While checking my seed stock, I noticed older beans in a Ziploc bag that had been indundated with bean beetles, still alive! Those went into the freezer until I can compost them. Still learning.

Good morning. It's 31F, on its way to 42F. Maybe we'll get a little snow-melt action. Calling for partly sunny, but more flurries later this evening. Not much planned for today. Probably head down to the basement for a while, followed by more misc futzing. Bean weevils are no bueno. I've been lucky in that regard, especially since I don't freeze seeds. Hope everybody has a freaky good Friday. Be safe out there and watch out for slipperies.
