Good morning everyone. Its sunny and warmer for the time being, snow predicted later in the week. I hope the rain helps the CA drought situation, mpicante.

A group of us are going *up the hill* to the casinos for lunch today, with a couple people wanting to play the slots for some sort of entertainment.

I hope you all have a great day. Win big and pay it forward.
What's that place called? Central city? I've driven by there a couple times

good morning all  :)

51F/11C here and Rainy again  in San Diego
we were going to to spend the day on the pier and hopefully rent some poles and do some pier fishing
(something i have fond memories of doing with my grandparents as a youth)
I did not pack any clothes preparing for rain, so the rain kinda squashed the pole rental and fishing idea
We may go back to Miramar cemetery to sit with them for a bit this afternoon, unless the rain gets worse, then we will probably only visit 1 last time before we fly out.
They've got a nice plot on a hill with the Jets from MCAS Miramar Base flying overhead  :)

I think we are going to tour the USS Midway tomorrow {it's now a museum} but 60% of the tour is disability accessible and there is an elevator in between decks
My wife is really into history and loves museums so i think she will enjoy this as much if not more than me.

Hope you all are having a wonderful week
S.M.I.L.E. :D and be excellent to each other

Good morning everyone. Fog has settled in for a few hours before the snow. Its nice to have precipitation early in the year, otherwise we would be in drought restrictions for using water. This year looks OK so far. Best of luck to Sic in his Race.

Condolences to GIP. Nice to have you share your trip to CA.

All the best for a beautiful day. Share the joy and pay it forward.

Good Morning all  :)

42F/6C and partly cloudy this morning will be 54F/12C by 2pm here though

got some time at Miramar yesterday, then we went out to the beach and had a good time in between the light showers
went to La Jolla Cove and saw the seals on the beach  Wife really enjoyed seeing the seals, especially the couple babies  :)

tried to catch a pic of a rainbow, but it was only viewable for about a minute then it faded away  as i was getting my camera out

used to be able to go out on this wall for pics, the waves weren't breaking over the wall, i'm not sure why it was closed.

Seals take over this small cove beach and you can't go down there because idiots would try to take selfies with the seals and stuff
can still get close enough to take some pics while giving them their space. Their were some people there with really nice cameras zooming way in to take pics of the baby seals.

Driving Up to Anaheim today, taking the wife to Disneyland

decided we are going to tour the USS Midway museum on Friday just before we head to the airport, we've got half a day before our flight with no other plans.

Hope you all are having a wonderful week
S.M.I.L.E. :D and have a fantastic day

Be careful out there in the OP

A car just hit a plow truck on I 70 and the driver died. So the roads are definitely f%*ked

And did you see that bus that rolled over in KC yesterday? There were 3 kids on it, one was in a wheelchair. Said they weren't seriously injured though
The road conditions were total shit this morning.  I probably shouldn't have attempted the drive from Paola to OP.  Most people were driving 40 mph on 169, I 35 and I 435 but some were driving 80 mph.  I don't get it.   I saw the video of the bus .... looked like that bus was moving pretty fast for the conditions.

Good morning everyone. Like Kansas, Denver got the ice first, then the snow. First time I have ever heard of 100+ accidents in one day here. The temp got down below zero last night, but we are usually colder than the airport where they record the temps.

Time to help shovel snow from the driveway and then a warm breakfast. Hope your day goes well. Keep warm and pay it forward.
