off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. Most of our rains have gone to east to Harry, nice while it lasted. Much better than last year’s dry days and wildfires. I am going to the CG to weed and pull lots of columbine flowers that have taken over. They are beautiful and rampant with all this rain. Sic - this past weekend was almost a blur with so much activity. It’s nice to slow down and visit with friends.

Enjoy your day and stay hydrated. Dragonsfire - hope your weather cools down quickly. I heard some grocery stores in the PNW lost their freezers and refrigerators because of the heat.

Dragonsfire - do you ever use shade cloth over your plants?
We have the cloth over the tomatoes until they outgrow their cages, mostly for hail protection. Some peppers also get the shade cloth as I lost everything in an August hailstorm.

No, added expense and theirs allot of wind at times so it could bowl over the plants, today wind 20-40km/h.
No discoloring so far, one pepper plant gave up the ghost and just died, don't know why, plants next to it fine.
Supposed to be cloudy Friday,Sat,Sun but still temps at 39c on friday now saying.

Good morning.  It's 70 (21c) on its way to 80 (27c).  Flash flood watch.  Cloudy with showers and thunderstorms.  Moderate meeting schedule today.  Not much going on until the rain stops (they're forecasting tomorrow morning) and everything dries out a bit.  Lots of lawn and garden work is planned after that.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning. Sunny and 70s/80s for temps. We had a short rain shower yesterday afternoon, so the garlic still waits until a few dry days to be harvested. We are taking a friend to Costco this AM, then back to garden stuff. The CG is looking promising with all of the monsoonal early rains. Sorry about the flooding, Harry. Sic- a new car engine - sorry about that. That will eat into your savings.

Have a wonderful day and stay healthy. Drink lots of water and enjoy the earth’s beauty.

Good morning!
20c outside, 28c inside and will be at least 37c by noon outside. Fan blowing inside and sprinklers going outside lol. Do what I can till it gets too hot.
Starting food prep for a Saturday pot luck coming up, curried chicken :)
Not much else happening, too bad about the excess water in some parts, hope you people keep safe then theirs the other extreme by heat.
Have a great Day!!

Good morning.  It's 71 (22c) on its way to 87 (31c).  Mostly cloudy and humid.  Thunderstorms early and then it's forecasted to clear up.  Busy meeting schedule today.  I plan on taking off work mid afternoon.  I also have tomorrow and Monday off.  Looking forward to the long weekend and getting outside to work on the lawn and garden .... once things dry out.  I need to finalize our weekend plans too.  Grilling and beverages this evening.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning. Happy July. Rain this afternoon and then dry for a week, hopefully. The ‘free’ rain has been a blessing for the firefighters and our reservoirs. I need a few dry days for the garlic harvest, maybe next week. We talked w/a few firefighters while in Costco that were working the wildfires last year. It gave us a new perspective on their occupation.

Have a wonderful day and stay healthy.

Good morning. Yesterday I dug up garlic before the rains came, I still have lots more to dig up, but will wait for the dry days. More rain predicted for today, it’s nice to see greener lawns in July. We are taking my friend to the dermatologist, then taking her shopping. It looks like a great holiday weekend.

Enjoy your day and stay healthy.

Good morning.  It's 70 on its way to 88.  Good fishing yesterday and we got to watch some airshow practice while we were out in the boat.  Saw the Blue Angels and Thunderbirds ..... etc.  Huge airshow 15 miles to the north of us today and tomorrow.  I also got the lawn mowed and trimmed.  It sure looks nice for this time of year not to see it all burnt up and dormant.  Not sure what we've going on today.  My wife wants to run into town to look at some furniture.  I've got a few things to do in the garden.  Grilling and beverages this evening.  Got a bunch of meat out for the smoker tomorrow.  The fireworks seem crazy this year.  It's legal out here but it seems like it's all day long!  It spooks the animals.  My family reunion over in Missouri has been cancelled due to the crazy Delta COVID variant they've got spreading over there.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning. Temps similar to Harry’s, with no rain. How lucky you are to see the air show so close to you. We see them on special occasions. Nothing much is planned for today except garden chores. Daughter came over for dinner and we are teaching her to play cribbage.

Have a wonderful day and stay hydrated. Enjoy the long weekend.

Good morning.  Happy Indpendence Day!  It's 68 on its way to 88.  Mild and calm.  I'm going fishing this morning and then I've got a few things to do in the garden.  I fired up the smoker at 3:00 AM.  Got a pork butt, a couple of racks and some sausage going.  Not much else is going on.  Relaxing later this afternoon and beverages this evening.  Be safe and be good.

Hope your fishing trip was great. Rain again today, all day yesterday. Need to mow and clean carport roof off of debris. Have no idea what will or wont get done today, dodging the weather. Yall have a great day and good morning.

Good morning. Happy 4th of July. We are driving into the mountains today for a picnic/work day with family. Making shish kabobs for the grill and bringing cole slaw and corn on the cob. The weather is warm here, hopefully cooler up there. It should be a beautiful day to see everyone. Harry - how was your fishing trip? It’s just nice to get away.

I hope your day goes well. Stay hydrated and enjoy earth’s beauty.
