off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Tire was fine, hole in wheel. Never heard of that, luckily Ion is going to replace. Going to take 4-6 weeks because its hard to get containers. People need to stop buying things, its crazy. Have to drop car off at mechanics. Wife said car is knocking, has been for months but she decided to tell me last night. Supposedly two steers are being dropped off this evening. Good morning. Busy and hot day yesterday, 93*F for today. Garden chores and watering at the CG are planned. The gardens look pretty good, though slow. I need to help weed for one CG guy who likes to garden but hates the weeds. He will never learn . . .

Good morning.  It's 73 (23c) on its way to 95 (35c).  Cloudy, breezy, hot and humid.  Severe thunderstorms this afternoon.  Late night match last night.  Slept in a little this morning.  Looks like our hay was baled last evening.  Fairly busy meeting schedule today.  Shutting down mid afternoon today and not working tomorrow.  I might go fishing tomorrow (WX permitting).  Some light garden work after that.  Grilling and beverages this evening.  Be safe and be good.  
 
Steer deal fell through but am still looking. Have to mow at stables and go to a couple yards and do a little storm clean up. Slept in a bit also Harry. Looks like ill be dodging rain all day. Hopefully the auto shop can tell me something about car and it not be too expensive. Yall have a great day and good morning.
 
Good morning. The heat wave has gone east for a week or so. It’s nice to see clouds with a possibility of rain today. Costco for new glasses and groceries, then more weeding. I have a section of overrun sedum that may take much of the summer to clean up. I’d like to save many of the perennials or relocate them. Wish I had Harry’s acreage.

Good morning. Sunny AM, hoping for rain. It looks like Harry’s part of the country is getting lots of moisture. I’m watching the neighbor’s dogs for 2 days, so I will be busy with them. The gardens look pretty gods, but my neighbor has 2 tomatoes that have leaf curl - they will be removed. Any clue? I suspect some sort of chemical, but she insists they are totally organic.

Good morning.  Cloudy, hot and stormy.  I've got a few tomatoes with the leaf curl too.  This is a condition that we don't normally see here.  The grandkids will be here this afternoon.  Not sure what's going on as we're currently in between storms.  Be safe and be good.  
 
Well we had 2 steers dropped off and they both went through the fence and one of them is with neighboring herd the other is gone. $1000 gone. Will try to sell the one to dude and let it stay where its at. We are not new to cattle nor was our fence weak, just my kinda luck. Its the wifes horses fault but thats a whole different can of worms that i hate opening. Couple errands and chores today. Also great news is wifes car has metal in the oil because she refuses to take it in for regular maintenance. She mentioned a knock and I checked the oil and it was bone dry. Im sure its been knocking for a while? I take care of truck and van and have always let her take the car but another leason learned. Going to be a expensive lesson. Good morning. Rainy and cooler temps for a couple of days, definitely not summer weather. Hopefully some of the moisture got to the wildfires and drought areas. Sorry about your steers, Sic. Sad to lose $$ on something like that. Nothing much is on the docket except taking care of the neighbor’s dogs. Even the cat is sad to see all the rain - she still likes to hunt for the garter snakes in the yards.

Good morning.  It's 69 on its way to 82.  40% chance of more severe storms today.  We got 4.5" of rain yesterday.  I thought we were gonna have to move to higher ground!  The apple trees are still standing ..... that's good.  Sic .... that sucks about the steers and the car.  We've got a car (that I used to drive back-n-forth to work).  Yesterday, I went out to drive it.  It was dead .... hadn't been started in months.  Got to get it on the battery charger today.  Too wet to do much outside this morning.  I need to pick blackberries and get some meat out of the freezer to smoke tomorrow.  The grandkids are here keeping grandma busy.  Going to the match this afternoon (its about an hour drive north of here).  Beverages at home after that.  Be safe and be good.

Good morning. A few nights with 50*F temps help with sleeping comfortably. Harry, your storms sure brought rain to your gardens. The wildfires have been hit by some rain, but definitely need lots more. Many CO counties have a total fire ban, no fireworks either. I did some muddy weeding yesterday, maybe more today, depending on the hopeful rain.

Good morning.  It's 71 (22c) on its way to 78 (26c).  Cloudy, thunderstorms are possible and humid.  Our weather has been crazy this year.  We went from a dry and warm early spring to a cold and wet May, to a hot/dry early to mid June and now back to the torrential rains and a cool late June.  Busy preparation day in the office for a major review on Wednesday.  Yesterday, I wasn't able to get out and mow because of the rain.  I'm hopeful to get out sometime later this afternoon to do it.  We'll see.  Not sure what my wife has going on today .... probably recovering from the grandkids.  The projects/chores are starting to add up.  Looking forward to the long weekend to get some of the projects off of the list!  Be safe and be good.

Watering the only thing to do from the heat and hope everything does not bolt.

Good morning. Sun/clouds and cooler than ‘the norm’. Not sure what the normal weather is like anymore. The rains sure have helped, but what will July bring? We had 3 funeral/memorial services this weekend, in the rain. The coming week looks pretty calm, lots of garden catch up.

Harry what are these matches you go to? Have to go to stables and mow the paddocks then go give some girl a bid on mow and clean out. She works with sonya at the stables and she is already acting like it should be free and she is going to help. She even told me she  would show me where the property line is,lol. Short bike ride first. Ive got to get back to regular riding. Been busy and tired. Lucikly I still do stretching and my work keeps me sweating but Ive gained a solid 8 pounds. Wife says its all muscle but I think shes just being nice,lol. Yall have a great day and good morning.
 
Good morning.  It's 70 (21c) on its way to 79 (26c).  It's been unseasonably cool, cloudy and the showers continue.  Local flooding is in progress.  Very busy meeting schedule today.  Late morning, I have to run into the actual office.  Yikes!  Sic .... the matches are soccer matches.  I'm a soccer fan and season ticket supporter of the Kansas City Major League Soccer club (Sporting KC).  With all of this rain, the lawn is going crazy again and I need to mow if the rain stops.  Now they're forecasting rain through Thursday morning.  Thinking about picking up some BBQ on the way home from the office. My wife is making more strawberry preserves today.  The blackberries are just starting to come on strong.  Started harvesting a few green jalapenos for poppers.  I noticed that the potato plants are starting to die back.  I expect they'll be ready for harvest in the next 2-3 weeks.  Had a meal entirely out of the garden last night.  Jalapeno poppers, wilted lettuce and zucchini casserole.  Looking forward to the long holiday weekend.  Be safe, be blessed and be good.
