Good Morning!  Today I head to the house I grew up in, where my mother still lives (she's 92!), for a visit, then to a nearby Mennonite nursery to pick up some more perennials for the new front yard landscaping project.  Specifically, I'll be bringing back a nice Blue Ice Cypress as a "specimen" tree for the driveway entrance and more Japanese Painted ferns for the edge of our wooded area. I've fallen head over heels for this tree variety.  Its icy blue needles remind me of ice crystals that form on window panes. 
 
Make it a good day.  "Kindness is free.  Sprinkle that stuff everywhere."

Good morning everyone. Frigid snow and ice everywhere except the roads, luckily. High temp was 38*, low was 28*. Guess it is an indoor day . Time for some hot chai and oatmeal.

Good morning, everyone. Have not seen sunshine for 5 days - are we in Seattle? Rain turning to snow, another inside day. Yesterday we made Cowboy Candy for a friend who asked for more during the Christmas holidays. Today is probably more hot jam.
