off-topic Good Mornin' Thread - For those that get up really early and post

Good morning. It's sunny and 72F, on its way to 83F. Calling for mostly sunny. Got home safely with the chicks. They're in the chicken house, getting used to their new surroundings. I'll leave them locked up for a few days, so that they can figure out that's where they sleep. Then, I'll let them out into the run. Have a few errands to run today, then home and ?. Hope everybody has a terrific Tuesday. Be safe out there and enjoy your day.

Good morning. 53-85F, summer just popped in. Yesterday we visited 5 places that sell tomato plants - the prices are still $$$. I asked when their less-than-desirable plant would be ‘affordable’. July 4th weekend. Guess I’ll plant more beans. Meeting this AM, then I’m hoping to pot up a few dwarf tomatoes.
Have a wonderful Tuesday. Stay healthy.

Good morning. It's sunny and 60F, on its way to 85F. Calling for mostly sunny and hazy, smoke from distant wildfires. Plan on working in the garden today. Shoot, I might even plant something, lol. Sorry to hear about your plants, Catherine. Beans are always good! Hope everybody has a wonderful Wednesday. Be safe out there and enjoy your day.

Good morning. It's 64F on its way to 92F. Partly cloudy, very warm, very smokey and very humid. It's now summer and it's going be a hot one for sure. Very strange WX this year. Don't know what's on the agenda for today. I mowed yesterday and should probably trim today. I also should install the irrigation system in the garden. We'll see how it goes. Probably work in some casual futzing. @ Catherine: I guess tomato plant prices are crazy around here. I have a buddy that wanted my last 5 spindly cherry tomato plants. Those plants had been sitting on my walkout under the deck for over a month. They were the ugliest and most neglected plants ever. I was going to toss them. He took the plants because he didn't want to pay the high prices from the big box stores 😀. Reuben sandwiches and salads this evening. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. 55-92F, whew. I planted a few peppers in pots when it cooled down yesterday, hope to do the dwarf tomatoes tonight. CG for watering this AM, still have to get the cuke seeds planted. Harry, most of my tomato plants were spindly this year and didn’t survive the flea beetle damage. Oh well. There’s always farmers markets.
Have a great day. Stay healthy amid this summer heat.

Dr. Ben's is done. Blades were spinning at 6:34. Going home to chill.it was 82 when I started this morning. Headed to 101 heat index. Yall have a great day and good morning.

Good morning. It's 71F on its way 76F. Cooler, very humid, lots of clouds and showers. T-Storms this afternoon. Looks to be an indoor sports day but first, I need to make a run to the local nursery to pick up soil for the patio pots. It's baby bird season. The mocking bird babies left the nest and greeted me on the driveway this AM (while their parents dive bombed me). The cardinals have babies in the nest in the lilac bush by the back door and squawk at me every time I walk by. The eastern bluebird babies are out in the garden and their parents are constantly calling and delivering bugs. The turtles are on the move looking for love and places to nest. Have seen box turtles and painted turtles on the move through the yard. Casual futzing this afternoon. Got out some steaks to grill this evening. Be safe and be good.

Good morning. It's sunny and 70F, on its way to 90F. Calling for hazy sun and hot. Went down to the garden yesterday. A deer (or two) jumped the fence and enjoyed themselves. Eight bushes of blueberries picked clean. 20 ft row of blackberries completely defoliated up to about 5 ft. There's still a few fruit up high, where they couldn't reach. Peas were completely gone. Funny, they didn't touch the lettuce. Glad I haven't planted anything else yet, ha. I think I need to add another rung of wire around the top of the fence before I plant. Always something to do. Hope everybody has a terrific Thursday. Be safe out there and enjoy your day.

Good morning! I’m trying to find a routine. Knee is still swollen and is limiting range of motion. I’ve been taking prednisone for weeks and nothing. I think it’s fluid build up. A simple needle would take care of that. But what do I know. I’m a mechanic. Lol They are going to put me under and physical manipulate it. They need to break the scar tissue up and at the same time strength the muscles and tendons. I should have done this weeks ago. Insurance still hasn’t approved or denied yet. So here I wait.

@Downriver sorry to hear about the garden. The deer are nice until they are not. Jerky doesn’t sound to bad while working the garden.

Hope you all have a great day. I’ve finally got my holes dug and my planting mix made up. 10 peppers in the ground this being is my plan. I’ll see how therapy goes today.

I need to see about my alerts on here. Sometimes they work sometimes they don’t.

Good morning. It's sunny and 75F, on its way to 88F. Calling for humid with variable clouds. Chance of showers/thunderstorms this afternoon. Started building a new gate for the chicken run yesterday. Probably 1/2 done. Will finish it next week, as we are leaving for a BBQ comp shortly. Hang in there, Chuck. They'll get that knee working properly. Hope everybody has a terrific weekend. Be safe out there and enjoy yourself.

Good morning. 57-90F, hoping to get some beans planted if the arms allow. Nice picnic yesterday, nice lazier day today. I’m hoping to actually get finished planting today with the beans and cukes.
Nice to hear you are getting around to do a little gardening, Chuck. I know it’s definitely not easy.
Enjoy this beautiful day, rain or shine.
