Looking forward to learning a thing or two as this will only be my second season growing anything.
The battery acid soak and diesel ferts sounds like a great idea. I've also read from highly credible sources that watering regularly with a strong bleach solution is a great way to ward off pests and bacterial issues, especially while the plant is young.

And over-watering. Don't forget to over-water EVERY day.

one tip i got was that C.chinense sprouts are REALLY sensitive to light. way more sensitive than baccatum, pubes, and annuums.

Another awesome germination tip-- instead of using a heat mat or any of that, give them higher temps in short bursts. Transfer seed to a cup about half-filled with water (so the seed doesn't accidentally dry out too much) and microwave on high for about 5 minutes. Repeat daily (or more often, if you're really in a hurry), and it will cut germination time drastically!

Soak a cotton ball in remover, apply to the helmet head, and wrap the whole thing in aluminum foil. Having personally removed nail polish with a q-tip as well as cotton ball/foil soak, the latter requires much less work, plus the nail polish pretty much melts off. I don't see why it wouldn't do the same for the helmet head!
Edit: Also, make sure to use the pure acetone nail polish. The other additives in basic nail polish remover make it much less effective.
