your guitar player should ebay those 5 pedals and buy a podxt live floor unit. it will mimick all the sounds of those pedals. actually keep the ce-5, thats a killer pedal.

That's a cool pic.

I'm a fan of Boss pedals....own several myself...but having that many on the floor is asking for trouble.,,especially with a rambunctious singer on the loose..heh heh...

Right now I'm using a cheap digitech multi-pedal for sound modeling and most effects....plus on the floor.. a crybaby and an danelectro overdrive and a boss heavy metal to overdive the crybaby.

I have a few Boss pedalss myself, never leave home without my Metal Zone pedal. I have a few other effects pedals and wah's, but I generally use the different mods on my Line 6 Spider amp.

i use some rack effects, a couple of boss pedals, and a podxt floor unit.

boss ns-2 pedal is the best pedal they make. i love it.

Mine stays in tune quite well. As a matter of fact I can leave it in the case or out in the studio for a month and it's still in tune. I love that guitar.

is it the sg special or the standard?

i think the special has different tuners.

personally ill never own another guitar without locking tuners. man they are so good

I have played for many years. I play mostly delta blues, Robert Johnson is my hero, Lightnin Hopkins, Johnny Winter. Electric player favs are Nugent, Malmsteen ( Far Beyond the Sun is the best song he has),SRV is a god.
Laffin at the Malsteen is pissed the 80's are over, lol, I saw him at G3 last year and he was so out of his element, time to retire Yngwie.
Interesting thread, thank for the heads up Tracy !!!
Later gang, Aj

We got another guitar player over here! (waves)

I've got a nice big accoustic jobber, a cheap Les Paul copy which plays realy nicely that I bought from the local dealer on a whim, and a 1966 Fender Duosonic Music Master (bottom end of the Jaguar/ Mustang/ Jazzmaster line) previously owned by a friend of Brian May, and played by the man himself. That was an 18th Birthday present for me. It was made on 6/6/66, which is near enough to 666 to be sufficiently "metal" and cool.

It also means that the guitar is 10 years older than me :)

Trying to build up my calluses again.

Favourites: Billy Corgan, Chris Vrenna, Marilyn Manson, Kim Thayil, Blink 182, Alkaline Trio, that kind of thing. Oh, and Dandy Warhols, etc. Not so much impressed with shredding solos as catchy hooks, pop melodies, etc. Corgan is the master of breathtaking choruses, in my view.

Used to be a glam rocker: CC DeVille, Dave "The Snake" Sabo and Scotti Hill, Mick Mars, that kind of thing, but embraced grunge in a BIG way when it came out.

Oh, and Slash, of course. I've got a great photo of me circa 1994 which I'll try and post later (when my f**king FTP starts working again...) to give you all a laugh.

I, unfortunately, sold all my gear after my divorce(had to pay that damn lawyer ya know) and all i've had since then is an old epiphone casino i picked up at a flea market for $60. Ugly as sin, but she's like the energizer bunny...just keeps going and going and going.

somehow i just keep ended up with more and more gear - even though i only play 2 of my guitars really.

i have a sea green peavey telecaster style (reactorAX, i think), a candy red american strat with a s&d humbucker in the bridge, a wine red gibson les paul standard, a 1936 martin (i dont play this anymore..), a cheap fender classical nylon string guitar, and then the 2 i play: a graphite ernie ball music man john petrucci model 6 string, and a red burst ernie ball music man john petrucci 7 string. those are the best playing guitars i have ever had. you can get all kinds of sounds out of them really. if youre in the market for a new guitar, dont count out ernie ball, they make some fabulous instruments.

Actually, i've been jonesing for a Schecter lately...i used to have one years ago, but i sold it. I tried one out about 2 months ago, and i was blown away by it, and i've been thinking about it since. But, of course, then i HAVE to get an Amp, and some effects, etc.

Some locking tuners are a pain in the ass, especially if you have a flyode rose. It makes quick tuning into a long ordeal. I've been thinking about trading in my Ibenez for a Strat because of the tuning issues.
