That AK looks stock with a removable mag. How did you get away with that in Kalifornia?

I assume the two ARs have bullet buttons?

Yep everything has a bullet button except the AK.

The AK has a 10/30 mag and the kydex grip which makes it "featureless" so I can keep the removable mag.

except the paycheck and weather

i believe it . Californias economy on just about every level is astonishing.  i love how people like to shit all over California for being broke and noncompetitive and non-buisness friendly... state income tax or what ever.... yet the economy is retarded huge in like every sector. including agriculture.

seems to me that if you are not poor, and have in demand skills california is the place to be, even with the high taxation and high cost of living.

when you push it, an amazon drone flys over and drops an ammo can at your feet.

You all are so awesome!!!

Seriously though Paulky, there is no bullet button withing 2500 miles of BG, KY. No need to be alarmed at inventions created out of necessity in order to survive in Kalifornia.
The mag release isn't a mag release, it is a bullet button. Requires a tool to drop the mag.

Keeps ARs in compliance with Kalifornia law .

Glad I live in state that doesn't have all these ludicrous gun laws like magazine capacity, special tools needed to release the magazine, etc... Here you can both open and concealed carry without any permit required, no limit on how many rounds my magazine can carry or style of firearm I can shoot. And guess what? I feel safe! Folks are taught firearm safety from an early age and they grow to respect, not fear, them. Violent crime rates are almost nonexistent here besides you run of the mill beer soaked slobberknocker.

I don't understand the appeal of assault type rifles...so you just shoot at paper targets with them? fun. Looks to me like the main purpose is to show them off ...convince me otherwise.

BTW...long time gun owner and avid hunter.

i dont get is why folks shit the bed about ar's and ak's. what difference does it make what so ever?

the ar platform is insanely modular. its like lego bricks at this point.

you are basically saying, 'why own an old carburated mustang from the 1980's'? because you can do lots of shit to it easily as opposed to something like a mini 14... where you need a gunsmith to attach a rail or modify the stock to accommodate a larger bull barrel or what ever.

america has a huge mod oriented culture as opposed to alot of other countries. home improvement, car modding, 'hacking', maker fairs, i could go on and on and on.

the real question should be why WOULDNT you want an AR? i mean if you are looking for a rifle in a 223/556 cartrige why not just get an AR? base model ar's are cheaper than alot of comperable, less scary looking rifles that have almost 0 modability.

the only reason id get something else is because ar's are butt ugly imho. i love wood and blued steel... but thats just me.
i wanted a mini14 badly for a long time... but i could not find one easily, and the cost was MORE than a base level ar, so i just got a shitty ar instead. the only new gen mini14's i could find were mid 700's... this was back in like 2010?

id still like a mini-30 someday... shotting the AR is cool and all, but its not pretty enough imo.

fwiw, i believe there are still more  remington 700 series rifles in the united states than AR platform 556/223 rifles by a long shot.  i remember hearing on 60 minutes they have sold like 5-10 million since the 60s/70's whenever they first came out. supposedly there are less than 5 million ar's in circulation.... so its not like they are insanely popular.
