Guru's Garden - Traveling the World in Search of Peppers

Just starting this glog now so it's one less thing to do in a few months when I'm knee deep in compost and getting things in the ground.

Not much to report at the moment. Strains yet to be determined, but I'll probably end up growing too many like always...lol

Only thing that's going on right now is a clean back patio and the chickens doing their part turning over my compost pile on the daily. Intersted in seeing how the soil microbes appreciate the added chicken poop!

Hope everyone has had a decent winter so far and here's to happy germination!

Hey - I keep meaning to jump on this glog - so glad the music finally came out!  I'm enjoying it - great work Rich!
AWESOME! Glad you like it! What's your favorite track!? We are finishing up album art and booklets now, so it won't be long and you'll have it to hold soon!

I'm liking "A Thousand Times Before" - and then I see it all over your facebook page - with a video coming out?  That'll be cool.  I'd like to look over lyrics, is that in the cd?  I'm liking "All I Hate" as well.  The music sounds great though - I think the mix sounds very well done - for what it's worth from a non professional who just likes to listen.  Good mix, volume levels and all that.  And is that a didgeridoo I heard on Thousand Times?

nice! Yeah I'm finishing up filming for that (it's our first single) on Thursday the 13th. Thanks for the feedback! There will be lyrics in the art booklet. I shot all the photography and Nic will be editing etc. you'll also get a dl code for the acoustic ep we promised as well! That backing track you hear on 1000x is actually Monk throat singers! :)
Glad you're digging it! We are getting some really nice feedback so far!

Here it is... did it taste a bhut or like something else?
Yep! They are definitely volunteer choco bhuts! Pod shape got a lil whacky through the open pollination but they are still YUM. I still have pure genetics so no worries :) I have isolated seeds from all the stuff you sent me!

I'm looking forward to the acoustic stuff - should be fun.  Please tell me you bring Monk throat singers on stage.  That would be pretty cool.

Did a final harvest of ripe pods and finally brought my keepers in for the winter. Pruned back the few that needed it and gave them all a nice chicken tea. Now to figure out my solar masses and/or heat source for the nights. I feel it may be a cold winter.

Chuncho coffee?

I'd be interested to hear what you are using to increase your solar mass and what affect that has on your temp and how often you have to use supplimentary heating.  I know that's a lot.  After listening to lots of permaculture stuff, I'm curious about how much difference it all makes and what is successful.  All very interesting stuff.  If you can even bump yourself up 1/2 to 1 climate zone, it opens up a few more species.

Oh, the other day my 18 month old was dancing pretty heavy to your music, tried to get a video but he wouldn't cooperate. He was head banging kind of serious, and it was hilarious.

Awesome! Yeah, my kids know the melodies and lyrics better than some of the band members! haha

yup its a great idea i just started my second compost pile.

Good stuff there, I just wish I had the manure sources they have. I can score cow pies when it's dry in the winter, otherwise the turd rollers devour them...
