Just planted some Jaques that I had germing behind the wood stove.  If all of these make, I am going to have these plants coming out my ears.  I'm talking double digit plants.  I can make a trade to a greenhouse if this happens.  She usually has some good stuff that I like to try.

Too many plants... not the worst problem to have.

Interesting sprout... seems to want to do its own thing. Just confused about where the sun is because it was born inside. But yeah, like STC said, could be a virus. Could also be a defect.

Quesadilla looks great. We're snowed in though... burgers and chile back and forth for us!

I checked a little deeper and it seems I have my first ever damped off pepper.  I might have had some in the past but I don't recall ever having this problem.  All soil went into the trash and the pot and label peg will be disinfected.  Soil wasn't that damp, but could have dried a bit in the last 24 hours.

My first round of peppers have outgrown their 18 pot tray.  Here we go!!!

7 brown moruga and 3 Neyde X.  Got some Pete still in the tray, but they won't be there long either.  The remaining peppers in that tray have some time left.  Next ones out should be the habs I planted 12/26

I'm hoping May lol

Potted up the Antilles Fire and two MoA plants this morning.  Another one of the MoA only had one coty.  The inverted Fatalii still hasn't changed.  I believe it won't do anything.  Still surprised curly Q peach bhut straightened out and has made it so far.

Another round of winter is coming this weekend.  Going to make it hard to not start the next round of peppers two weeks early lol.

Hard to envision spring with all that snow.

You know you want to. Just do it and get it over with.

I do, until I start looking at how many 18 count trays I already have filled and how big these things are going to be by May.  I have checked into hanging a light over the germ table so I can put some gallon pots on it when I start getting cramped.  The big issue I will run into is the OW now occupying 2 shelves.  I might hold off until March 1st.  That will be 2 1/2 months before plant out.

For me, if I truly run out of room (which is a real possibility), I have a workbench right outside the grow room that I can mount a T8 fixture on. I could put 2 flats under a couple of 4' bulbs. Not ideal, but it will keep them alive and growing until mid May.

My issue is my growroom is in the unheated basement.  If I have to move some plants out, they have to come upstairs.  I can add more lights to the shelves I currently have, but as the plants get taller, I do have to remove an above shelf to raise the lights more.  It could get tight with the other stuff I am growing.
I must say, the peter pepper has got to be one of the faster growing peppers around.  This thing is growing like mad.

I believe I can do the onions upstairs next to a south facing window.  Haven't checked into it too close, but I think I can do the same with kale/chard/cabbage/lettuce once I get them up.

Its going to be interesting before May that is for sure.  And I am looking forward to it.
