Stopped off to get some soil for my cabbage onions etc at the store today and the woman behind me said I really optimistic.  I told her I had peppers so high in the basement and she replies she married the wrong man lol.  Cashier did ask if I was single.  I guess people just don't start thinking gardening until April.  I was thinking ahead to this season before last season was even over.  Had my first three plants started in October lol.

Got my lights and once I set them up it will be 26 plants potted up into gallon containers.

Took a little longer for the pot ups than I anticipated. There was lunch and a walk around the farm (now that the snow settled some) in the middle of potting up.

All the Habs were really rooted up well.  I expect them to explode now.

Brown Moruga plants were well rooted too.  Might explain the massive water needs.

And here are some pics of the rest of the room.

And the grow table ready to rock.

Should have enough room, but I am out of mix now too lol

Speaking of taking off....when I get some more potting mix, I am going to have to set these puppies deep.

And a foliage pic.

I think I will start my onions in a three gallon pot.  I want about 4 inches of depth, and this will give me a big enough surface to spread them out more.  Just need some filler in the bottom of the pots.

Damn Jeff!

You've been busy! And I've been slackin'!

Good things going on here!

Plants are all looking golden for sure! Glad you up-potted those gals before they really got root bound.

Those barrels, I would die for. I need to check into sources. One place I'm going to check is the local car dealers, soap comes in those plastic barrels. If you figure out how to connect them low, without leaks be sure to fill us in.

Possums, yuk! Seen a few around here, glad just a few. Now skunks have been around lately, wondering if one has took up residence under the wooden pool desk. Otis has been sprayed 3 times in the last 10 days. he's a stankin'! normally he kills them, maybe he's getting soft, but it seems he's not getting smarter regarding skunks...LOL

First little baby coming on.  The biggest Peter plant is blooming up a storm right now.  I should pick these off, but I need to slow down the growth.  If I don't I will be potting up into a 3 gallon before plant out.

Just did some more organizing and it looks like I will have enough room unless the 25 Jaques need to be potted up.  Then I will have to clear out at least 4 OW to accommodate those potups.  They only have 2nd or 3rd set of trues on them and aren't over 3 inches tall yet.  A lot of the other peppers have roots coming out the bottom of the pot, bottom watering, but they should have some time before I have to pot them up.  Gotta get more mix tomorrow to have it on hand.

Have a great Friday night!!!

Hi Jeff,

Amazing plants, impressive growth, beautiful colors! :-)
Can't wait to see them pumping out the pods!

If I end up keeping all these, when they hit full tilt I will be cussing myself out fro growing so many.  But if I can get some good sauce recipes going and figure out my ph meter,. I will be good to go.

Plants look very healthy, looks like it's going to be a good year...

Should be if the late frost leaves me alone, the cut worms leave me alone, and I don't get hit with hail.  Been lucky in all three for a long time.

Beautiful! Our MoAs are almost identical, What soil are they growing in?

Secret recipe :)

Plants are looking fantastic Jeff. Bluegill looks very tasty too. You seemed to have moved past the omelet and into the fried fish. I don't think I have seen an omelet pic all year. Lots of very tasty looking fish though.

Wow, not sure how I got so far behind here.  I'm gonna have to look back to see what's up with the barrels and possum, but the pics on this page alone are great.  Hope you can manage to keep things contained until plant out.

Lol, I clearly need to talk about my gardening more when out in public.

I try to only do omelets with fresh pods.  I use that as a bit of a gauge on the heat.  Worked good until the Burgundy half didn't seem like enough and I put a whole one in.  Stomach wasn't right for a couple days.  My Not Butch T (yellow) was very good in omelets, but three in a pot of deer/rice/tomato was a bit too much.

Once my pods start kicking in this summer (Spring  ) I will get some more omelets out.

I still have two more bottles of sauce to taste test from Greg.

Now this is a different type of greenhouse...made from water bottles.  Can you imagine peeling off all those labels.

Hah, I see I already saw and commented on the possum, then forgot.  Oh well.  Folks in my dad's generation would eat possum.  They'd trap one, then put it in a cage and feed it persimmons, sweet potatoes, milk, whatever was in excess, for a week or two before cooking it.  Claim was it would clean it out.  I never tested the theory myself.

That is a cool GH.....how are the bottles connected together ? ..I can imagine alot of ambient heat inside, nice for starting Spring Things outdoors.

I have to say this glog is putting out photos with spot on clarity, great looking plants, food shots  and info non relating to the pepper grow ...( which keeps this an interesting read).....Grow On !
