Moving out, so I thought I'd snap a jigsaw pic

The grow room is now dark.  The only garden plants left in the house are the 4 flats of tomatoes and 4 tomatillos in gallon pots.  Only thing that got planted was climbing beans and two kinds of peas.  Beans, kohlrabi, and beets will have to wait until tomorrow.

Beautiful plumage! One big happy family.
Your foliage doesn't look as beat up as mine.

Yeah my 10 day looks more like late June than early May. I'll take heat to cold for growing.
But next week shows some cooling AND RAIN so I'm going to shoot for the all the row garden toms and peppers by Friday.
And maybe even buckwheat on the fallow strip.

The raised beds can be worked quicker after a rain than flat space.

Glad to see you getting some plants out for hardening off!  And I'm sad to hear you missed the turkey.  Fun little story to read tho.  I know what you mean when you say you won't like the way they look in the ground compared to the containers.  I feel the same way every year myself.  It makes em look so tiny out in the big world.  But yes, they do come around!

Not only do they look tiny out there, they get beat up and sun burnt and no longer look "like a virgin"

Looks like the garden is gonna sink your boat. Then the mackerel will run wild!

Love the others accenting the pepper plants. Did you selected flowers for bug control?

I didn't pick the flowers for bug control.  My dad liked them and so I grew up seeing the marigolds all the time.  Missed the smell and their look.

Didn't get as much of the front fence finished tonight as I wanted to get done.

I got a bit side tracked....

I am now going to have to remove some sod and probably throw some bags of garden soil in front of the fence to plant the marigolds.  Might as well do it up right if I am going to do it.

Oddly enough the deer don't bother the garden here much at all....perhaps my family has a reputation in the deer community around here.

Getting home from work and then working outside until evening, getting a shower and some food don't leave a lot of time to relax before having to hit the feathers....Ain't complaining though...I be digging in the dirt.  Do need a rain here though.

Looking great Jeff. Plants are amazing. I can't wait to see the garden in full swing. Food looks good and the fence is coming along. Didn't expect you to get that far. Good job. I usually plant just peppers but this year I'm planting tomatoes as well. After looking at your grow and others. I think next year I will expand the garden. Thanks for the update. Awesome job.

Your place looks great, Jeff.
Maybe you should expand your grow a little

I love Morels.  They grow in logged over regrowth  areas where I used to live in S. Ore.
My buddy's girlfriend used to bake the big ones (4" or so) stuffed with cheese and the
little ones.  OMG.

You got me thinking of making morel poppers, just stuffing them with some hot pepper and meat.

Building this stinking fence and wanting it to look right sure tests my patience...and my ability to find my hammer after I see how far I can throw the #$)%(ing thing.

Only got two panels put in today.  Two and half left to go.  Between the driveway and garden there is a burm that I need to grade down, by hand, this weekend before the marigold bed can be created.

Bunching onions direct sow are starting to pop.

I will remain c   a    l    m  the rest of the night.........wooooosah
