Man I've been there before, for sure. There's a barrel wrench shaped hole out in the wall of my garage. Was torquing a barrel nut down on an AR-15, wrench slipped, cracked my knuckles in to the vice base. Much cussing ensued. Took me an hour to find the damn wrench I threw, when I went back out the next night (I took a 24 hour break to calm the hell down.)

My temper is usually pretty mild until I do something stupid and hurt myself, then, oh man.. not wise to be within 1000 yards of me.

I'm going to be going fishing soon - SOOOO many nightcrawlers in the garden. All I need to do is water in the evening and go out with a light. I was counting upwards of 10 per square foot the other night when I went out and looked, all topfeeding. Never seen so many worms in such a tight space before.

FREE BAIT! :)

(Yes, those marigolds are ragged as hell, they got frost nipped, put them in too early)

Is that 454. I've wanted one for so long. Have been looking at 460. Tasty looking little pod. Those mushrooms wild? When visiting family in San Diego my dad had those growing with a plot of onions. Must have been in the bagged soil. Beautiful mushroom. Have a good weekend.

To the best of my knowledge, they haven't figured out how to grow morels, so they are all wild.

I was going back and forth on getting either the 454 or the 480.  Went with the Ruger.
I think you are right about the morels, Jeff.

What do you think about the S&W 500?

I just love Ruger's...now I have to post my .243 pistol someday. I just love the 18" flame that it throws out the barrel.

Good you took the day off Jeff, you've already worked your ass off this season.

Haven't been keeping up with NASCAR much since the new Jimmy Johnson format.

Very Nice Super RedHawk you have there.

Bet that is a hand stinger. Do you hunt with it?

Tepin cross looks interesting.

Oh, it kicks hard with the 454 round in it.  Not bad at all with the 45 long colts.  It kicks worse than my cousin's 45/70 single shot pistol.

Anxious to try the tepin cross.  Perhaps tonight or tomorrow.

243 pistol....sweet.  Bout like my 44 magnum.....rifle :)  Lever action.

Fence is done.  Still need to backfill some low spots, skim the front off to level it a bit before putting in marigolds.

A quick weather check and I think the peppers get outside in a shady location.  Just need to give them wind protection.  Tuesday after next is dirt day.

Cold tolerant plants will be getting stuck in the dirt next.

This Tuesday I am going fishing...I don't care if its a tornado out!!!!

The low for this week is going to be Thursday and Friday around 41.  Next three days they are calling for possible damaging storms, so I think I will wait it out a bit more.  Rather have them a little behind schedule than have the snot beat out of them.

Mine always get the snot beat out of them. Stick em in the dirt early and the cold slows them down. Next comes the winds, windy as heck today. Then the heat.

But if they survive all that they do well come late September, dang that's a long grow!

Scored a few more.

Boss switched days off with me, so I am fishing tomorrow.  Storm rolling in right now and I am hoping for some rain.  Basically down to watching the wind and the lows for getting these babies finished hardening off and in the dirt.
